it’s jarring to think about everything i put up with romantically vs where i am now. simultaneously, i wonder where those people may be in their lives… like i don’t love them. i don’t know them anymore. but some version of me loved some version of them once upon a time. we were each other’s world just to become nothing. do i ever cross their mind like they do mine or am i simply nothing now? like a speck of the past to be forgotten with old love that bears no weight to their heart anymore? so many thoughts that spiral into an unanswered conundrum.

i’ve watched so many romance movies recently and i cringe every time they’re like “i would never hurt you” “i would never break your heart” “i will never leave you” bitch shut the fuck up yes you will let’s be real here. cut the bullshit. i would much rather someone be honest with me like “i will try everything in my power to not intentionally hurt you” at least that has merit to it.
