"There is no harm in hoping for the best, as long as you're prepared for the worst." --Stephen King-- I'm not too likely attach much nor rely too heavily to idol, and as for liking idol group, I prepared myself to face good and bad possibility, because somehow nothing last forever. For example, what if a certain member wanted to do solo career and leave the group. Or worst, a certain group decided to disband.Ā Not long ago, there was this certain tweet popped into my timeline. Tweet about what if 'Map of The Soul: 7' would become the last BTS comeback as 7 member. And yes, there were so many reactions. I was quite hype to BTS around Dark & Wild until You Never Walk Alone era, and I'm interested to talk about this "attach/rely" feeling. I myself, since YNWA era became mostly into Seokjin NamJin. And here a concern: I watched BTS RUN! Picnic that was aired in 2018 and Seokjin wrote a poetry, saying about become tired and quit --- and then he cried when he gave speech at MAMA. At that time, all I could do just wished the best for him. Anything he gonna choose for his idol career, as long as he is doing fine and happy, I'm okay with that. Surprisingly, after those two certain moments, he (and other BTS member) were all extended contract with the agency for 7 more years. I was actually confused. If they had issue with mental health, felt depressed, even wanted to disband, so why extend the contract that long. I mean, it's good to think about fans. But to think about themselves as individual isn't something selfish though. But then again, I'm not the one walking on their shoes. It was their decision, and I respect that. But yeah, based on what I feel for my fave, esp Seokjin in this case, I actually ready with anything good Seokjin could do in the future, with or without BTS. Career in acting or such (I'm waiting this!! Ugh), going to enlist in military service, announce a marriage, become JinHit CEO etc. I even ready if someday Seokjin would join The Return of Superman with his beloved son/daughter. As long as he is doing good and fine, I'm fine. I wrote this based on what I feel to my fave. And it's only the kind of "prepared" of how I react for the fave idol - idol group I like. I'm not talking about generally ready and prepared in anything about life. But yes, I would love to be ready in everything, if I could. So, what do you think? What kind of "attach/rely" feeling you have with your fave and how far you guys being prepared and ready for the possibility happen to your fave? Like, for the example, as for my fellow in Arashi fandom, they are preparing for the hiatus after 2020. They got the hiatus announcement last year, being shocked, but then prepare themselves to be ready. Possibly discuss. Please share your thoughts. P.S. Have fun with the MOTS: 7 comeback!!
