After seeing all the tragic events that have been happening in this country, due to gun violence, it’s easy to become paranoid and worse still tormented 😫. I have two little children, and I can’t even begin to imagine what the parents who are dealing with loss are going through right now 😭🙏. But for the sake of my sanity, and the well being of my kids, I have chosen to dedicate and give them up to God, because ultimately, He is truly the only One who can keep them safe from the attacks of the enemy. I know I sound irrational, but remember that “We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, rulers of darkness in this world, and spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places.” Fighting physical battles in order to reform gun policies may play a significant role, but the truth is, whether you like it or not, we need God now, more than ever before. And so begins a new chapter!!! 🥰 All I can say is that God’s grace has been on repeat over the years, and I’m so grateful that His mercy continues to sustain me. I’m evolving in ways that I could have never imagined, and I love the woman that I’m becoming because I finally don’t feel the need to prove myself to anyone. It feels so good 😊🥰 To my family and friends I’d like to say thank you for being a part of my life. You push me to become better and I wouldn’t be who I am without you. I can’t count how many times I’ve had rejections in my content creation journey. And the initial hurt, insecurity and uncertainty that I felt in those moments. The road to self-discovery has been a long one for me. It’s so easy to talk yourself out of becoming more. Geez, I do it all the time by down playing what God has given me. • It’s like I’d rather settle for the bear minimum because I’m too scared to take the plunge to be great. Can anyone relate? • • Lately, God has been dealing with me to not look down on the gifts/talents or ideas that He has given me. • No matter how trivial or insignificant they may seem in my eyes, trusting Him and walking in obedience is what really matters, because He is the one who gives the increase. • You’ll never know how much of an impact you can make in peoples’ lives if you just use what you’ve been given. • So don’t downplay yourself and the gifts or talents that you’ve been given. I haven’t been feeling like myself this week. I have been so touchy/moody and really unmotivated and sluggish. I found out part of the reason why this morning 😅 but, the crazy #winterweather hasn’t been helping either. 😩 • With that being said, it’s easy to fall into the “Guilt Trap” and talk yourself out of moving forward. • So I’m working on being a little bit kinder to myself and putting less demands on myself by only focusing on getting one important thing everyday.
