This question has been bugging me for a while now, so I just gotta ask... What would Dominik be like with a very clingy, anxious and shy partner?
Like just imagine them clinging onto his arm begging him not to leave for his work yet... to just stay a little longer with them at home! (Little do they know they're preventing him from killing someone just because they don't want to be alone...) They're probably not any better in any public places, as they cling onto him(or his jacket if he doesn't really like physical touch) just so they don't lose sight of him or get lost... And imagine if they're just too shy to talk to other people, even if they're just trying to order a coffee, so they have to depend on him or their friends just to have simple conversations with strangers...(Their social skills are probably ass too now that I think about it)
On the plus side though, they probably don't have many friends to begin with... so less rivals for Dominik I guess?(I don't know whether he would like a partner who's overly dependent on him+others they're close to or not....)
Bonus: I feel like it would probably be harder for him to try to establish some sort of friendship with them in the beginning to get closer to them due to their shy nature... perhaps he would be persistent though?
I think I have mentioned it before, but Dominik wouldn’t mind his darling being clingy, but he’s not an indulgent person. If you cling to his arm and beg him not to leave, he won’t snap or get annoyed. He’ll just look at you for a moment and calmly say, “I’ll be back in an hour.” and then leave.
Dominik isn’t very affectionate, so you’re not getting constant hugs, cuddling, or openly romantic gestures. He does show affection, but not constantly. There are moments when he'll seek you out, touch your face, kiss you, bury his head into your chest and listen to your heartbeat…
That being said, he doesn't mind receiving affection. If his darling wants to hug him, hold his hand, rest against him, or kiss him, he isn't going to pull away. He'll allow it without complaint, and over time he'll come to quietly expect it. The difference is that he's rarely the one who initiates.
And as for darling's shyness, it wouldn’t stop him. He wouldn’t carefully try to coax you into opening up or wait for you to make the first move. If he decides he’s going to talk to you, he just does. Even if you barely respond. Your presence is already enough.
So for a clingy or touch-starved darling, I think it can feel lonely. But even though it may seem like Dominik doesn't care about you, he does, and a lot. But human emotions work differently for him.
