Hi!! Sorry, I said I was gonna write more and then I immediately got sick after that and lost the will to do anything even after I got better lmao

I left that open to interpretation so people could imagine their own scenarios :)

When I write short form stories for readers, I'll intentionally leave bigger details vague when it doesn't presently affect the story so that the reader has more freedom to insert their own headcanons into it. But I also do a thing where I purposely set smaller details that technically don't matter, but I think they help smooth the gap between the person reading it and the MC who is living in the setting I wrote. If that makes sense? So, like the MC's sleep schedule and depression is a set thing because that's emblematic of the world LfS is set in and the kind of people they associate with (Harlem).

Which brings me to my laptop, of which I still don't have a new one. I no longer need a laptop for gaming so that should lessen the cost of a new one. I still haven't found one that I would like, however. And on top of that, I need to decide if I actually still want a new laptop or if I might prefer getting a keyboard+mouse for my Steam Deck, which is basically a computer in its own right, and just writing with that.

Good news: I finally worked up the courage to restore and check if Hellbound was still intact, after that disaster where I lost a huge chunk of Cybernecrosis. No part of Hellbound is missing, I can pick up exactly where I left off.

Bad news: I worked a little on Cybernecrosis and sadly I still found the missing sections largely demotivating. I pushed forward on the parts of Blue's route I hadn't already written, until that became too depressing as I couldn't stop thinking about how I've had to go back eventually and redo what was lost, and how I'd really liked what I'd written before, which is now gone forever. So I guess I'm still mourning that a little bit.

And the second bad news: I'm sick lol. I have been for the past 4 days, I called out of work and have been focused on resting. I've got one more day of rest before I try to go back to work and I'm really hoping I'll be pretty much better by then. But that's why I'm still not any more productive.

I'm sorry, work got really hectic with spring break and a bunch of other stuff going on. It slipped my mind.

I will update the release post tomorrow, either before or after work. But here, I think I figured out how to upload to cogdemos finally. I didn't go through the full game to test it, only made sure it started, so let me know if any scenes throw out errors.

Here's some domestic stuff I came up with.

Its easy to split chores with Harlem. He does the laundry and cleans the kitchen and bathroom, MC does the grocery shopping and vacuuming/dusting. Stuff like that. Well, whatever they work out between the two of them. He usually does takeout when it comes to meals, though, so if you want homecooked food you'll have to do it yourself.

Speaking of, MC can move in with Harlem pretty early on. It's obvious they're attached to him, so if they just want to be with him all the time, they can move in to his apartment. He doesn't mind.

This ask is so funny, anon, thank you. I can't tell, is Harlem the pig in this analogy?

Anyway, I think Harlem would be okay having a child or two. He's definitely never thought about having kids, and he's not a very fatherly sort. Right now, even, I think having children is very far from his mind. Perhaps it'll never cross his mind.

Very, very basic stuff. Bare minimum he needs from a smartphone, as he mainly uses it for communication. Possibly one Gutenberg-style app where he can read books from older time periods, especially the one he was born in as he didn't have a chance to read back then.

As for your second question, all I have to say is this

Marcella is her name. Actually, Hutch doesn't care that much about Harlem's dating life. He has enough on his plate, dealing with all the other ways Harlem's been a mess all this time. Marcella, too, she kind of went back and forth on if being romantically involved with MC would be good for Harlem or not, and also if she also cared that much about his love life.

About his past 2 loves, sadly they did not end in the typical way. His past lovers died. Getting involved with a monster like him can draw the attention of the wrong kind of people and, well, now he blames himself. But he knows better now.

Now some facts. I haven't thought about Harlem in a long time, so I'm sorry if I repeat anything I've said before.

He's actually quite cute when he's in a relationship. Basically because he's a lonely person, having MC in his life takes up a lot of his time and thoughts. He likes it when MC thinks he's cool, so he shows off in fights if MC comes to watch. He'll go to a store and see something he thinks MC would like and next thing he knows he's buying it, just because. It's very sweet, but don't point it out.
