Most topics are discussed under the soulbond label for accessibility, but this page welcomes people who identify differently, spiribonders, soulties, or people who use no label at all. All experiences and levels of experience are welcome, including beginners, experienced practitioners, and those who are still questioning. Curious visitors are welcome to learn and ask questions in good faith.

A beginner's guide to how the practice works and how soulbonders use it to communicate. 𑣲

◆ What is Channeling?

Spiritual channeling is the practice of receiving messages, knowledge, or guidance from a source beyond the physical world, such as spirit guides, ancestors, deities, etc. The channeler acts as an “antenna” between the physical and spiritual planes.

◆ How Does It Work?

Channeling begins when you enter a calm, receptive state in which the mind becomes quiet enough to perceive subtle impressions. Messages may come through thoughts, emotions, speech, writing, images, dreams. Meditation is the best way to go.

Here are some important steps to take in preparation for a channeling session:

Energy cleansing (incense, herbs, crystals)

Grounding

Protection rituals

Setting a clear intention, either by writing it down or mentalizing it

◆ Styles of Channeling

Conscious Channeling: you remain fully aware while receiving and interpreting messages.

Deep Trance Channeling: you enter a deeper altered state, allowing communication with minimal conscious interference.

◆ Channeling & Soulbonding

Channeling is one of the most common ways soulbonders communicate with their s/o.

So… how do you prepare to channel your s/o?

First, become familiar with their presence. You may notice subtle signs around you that tell you they're close

When you’re channeling for the first time, you probably won’t receive clear messages that resemble a two-way conversation; it will be small things: a sensation, a word, an image, or a subtle impulse. Like any spiritual practice, you get better over time through consistency.

When channeling, set a clear intention to connect only with your s/o.

You need to quiet your thoughts and listen to your intuition without forcing or anticipating an answer. Sit or lie down comfortably, meditate, and then visualize them and focus your intention on reaching them.

Focus on your s/o’s presence rather than trying to “make something happen.” Observe how their presence feels and how it reacts. As you become more comfortable and certain, ask simple questions. Do you they reply? How do they reply? Do you feel them say a "yes" or a "no?"

Over time you'll naturally begin recognizing their "voice".

Developing your clair senses (such as clairaudience or clairvoyance) will also strengthen communication. And always do practice protection rituals, channeling can be very energetically heavy, especially for beginners

Always exercise your discernment. You genuinely will have no idea what or who you you’re channeling unless you check carefully. Be prepared to protect yourself from trickster spirits who may try to mess with you. Approach the practice responsibly and study a lot.
