So let’s assume that the cast aren’t testers. I would say that the vr headsets are definitely gonna be expensive especially set in the 90s. Only the rich could buy which could explain why there is not that many people who have gotten trapped in the circus. Not only that but pomni is an accountant and they usually make decent money aswell as her favorite food being salmon which I think is a pretty rich person meal. With ragatha she is said to like horses which doesn’t mean she has one but we can maybe assume she does. Horses are not cheap to keep and maintain. Based off the two we can say that the rest are possibly well off aswell. So my main theory here is that the cast is just rich people wanting some fun or something new to do and basically becoming trapped. But my question is with time. Why does nobody question it? Gooseworx has said in the q and a that time is basically irrelevant. What about the family? Maybe episode 3 will lead us to more answers

Not so much a theory but more of a running theme I’m seeing-

The first episode, during the opening number, one of the items clipped through the stage floor. Kinger likes to collect “insects”. Glitches are often referred to as bugs. Caine blue screens. During one of the promo shorts, Caine covers up an image of some sort of unfinished map. And then of course, Pomni and Gummigoo clip through to the bottom of the candy canyon level.

There may be an exploration of this later. Maybe focusing on the game’s incomplete status. Maybe the game was rushed? And if any of the cast members worked for C and A, how did that affect their work environment?
