“Finally, The Rock has you ALL to himself. Let’s get away, baby.” Dwayne smiled as he drove off towards the private airport. “Still not telling me where you’re taking me?” She sighed as she watched the scenery pass by outside the tinted windows. “It’s not a surprise but it is a surprise. Costa Rica but not our usual place. This is someplace new, black owned.” He smiled as his hand caressed her thigh as he drove. Dwayne couldn’t wait to get her on the plane, she looked so good in the lavender floral sundress she was wearing. “Someplace new? Hmm…ok. You really like to keep me on my toes, don’t you?” She laughed as he pulled into the nearest cell phone lot. “What’s wrong? What did you forget?” Angelique asked. “Nothing, just wanted to fully focus on kissing those pretty lips of yours.” Dwayne growled as he crushed his lips to hers. She wrapped her arms around his neck as his tongue slid into her mouth. She could feel his rough hand sliding up her inner thigh. “What are you doing?” She breathed. A laugh rumbled in his chest as he pushed her panties to the side. “We don’t have time for this.” She giggled. “They can’t leave until we get there. Don’t worry, darlin. This is just the warm up. “Since when do you listen to Big Daddy?” Dwayne laughed as he pulled into the private airport. “I listen sometimes! I have to learn to let him go and be grown. I have to find hobbies now before I end up recording another album and going on tour.” She laughed, they both frowned. Nowadays she saved her voice for voiceover work and the occasional impromptu performance at her father’s bar in New Orleans. “I thought you retired from touring.” Dwayne teased. “Yep, same way you retired from wrestling.” She teased back. “Touché, my love. Well, whatever you want to do…I’ll support it. I’ll be front row taking the best pictures.” He laughed. “You have nothing to worry about. My throat could not handle a tour. I don’t know how Beyonce does it. My shit got so deep after being pregnant that I damn near sound like Barry Fuckin’ White when I go low!“ she groaned. “I love your deep baritone voice, Big Mama.” Dwayne smiled as he kissed her forehead.

After they settled into the plane, Dwayne pulled Angelique’s feet into his lap. “I’m really getting spoiled. I feel like I’m getting set up for something. *sighs* aww fuck Dwayne…she’s not pregnant is she?!” She grumbled. “What?! No! I got snipped baby, remember?” Dwayne spoke, his hands unbuckling her sandals and massaging her feet. “Ok, so what is it?” She sighed as she sank further into the plush leather seat. “When's the last time you met up with him? Just the once?” He asked as he focused on her stiff muscles. “I have no idea what you’re talking about.” Angelique smiled, her mind wandering back to the bus rendezvous with Sefa. “Bullshit girl! At least he knows that you like your ass smacked.” Dwayne laughed. “Like you said…you can’t be the only one having fun. And boy…did I have fun!” Angelique giggled. “Lique…is he gonna be a problem? He’s not a fan is he?” Dwayne groaned. 

Dwayne had insisted that she always have at least one of his many cousins on her security detail after a crazed fan tried to kidnap her 10 years ago. A 23-year old Sefa was the first to be brought onboard. “He won’t be a problem Dwayne. I have no plans of leaving my husband. He knows that.” She sighed nonchalantly. “Do I know him?” He asked. “Aht aht. You’re asking too many questions, my love. I thought we operated on don’t ask, don’t tell protocol?” She yawned. He pushed the table top back against the wall, clearing the space between them. “I guess, but you know who she is. And don’t say you don’t.” He laughed, his hands dancing up her legs. “I had a little birdy tell me that she’s a 6 by comparison. And I can confirm that she’s an 8 on her best day. Day-to-day? A 7 and that’s me being generous but beauty is in the eye of the beholder…might be time for an eye exam tho.” She laughed confidently. “Joe runs his mouth too damn much.” He grumbled. “It wasn’t him. He hates the whole idea of us opening up our marriage.” She said as she straddled his lap.

Angelique reached down to unbuckle his belt, he let her. “He’s only known you for 22 years, he’s my entire cousin yet he’s very obviously Team Angelique,” Dwayne laughed as she unzipped his pants. “You and I had met at a party and exchanged numbers but you were off becoming The Scorpion King. He was my first video boyfriend and he never even mentioned that you were his cousin. When Angelique emerged from the bathroom, Dwayne was furiously typing away on his laptop, his jeans still unbuckled. “DJ, you’re frowning, love.” she laughed. His face softened as he pushed his glasses up his nose. “Sorry, babe. I forgot to finish something. Be done by the time we land.” he sighed as he felt her hands massaging the base of his neck. “My man works so hard. Sometimes too hard.” she sighed as her fingertips found a knot. Angelique used her knuckles to work the knot. He groaned as the knot popped away, his head dropping into her. “Thank you, baby.” he smiled, his hands covering hers. The comfortable silence pierced by his phone vibrating on the table. Angelique saw the name as clear as day, Janelle. Dwayne silenced his phone and shoved it into his bag. “She’s not someone I have to worry about is she? She a fan?” Angelique teased. 

“Actually…she’s married.”
