Loraine “Lori” Ramirez - 32 - she/her - [ #🚬 ] is an actor and model, also a closeted lesbian. If it wasn’t obvious Jose and Lori are in a lavender marriage!

Victoria “Vicky” Preston - 27 - she/her - [ #🥈 ] is a former Olympic champion figure skater and currently a coach for other skaters. Ok so she’s also a lesbian but she’s not closeted. Jose and Vicky are best friends!

Alien “That Little Alien” - ?? - it/its/he - [ #👽 ] is really interested in earth people!

Love Earth Again is largely based on this idea that even if you land a job that you love, and your life is full of people who care about you, and you have all the time in the world to indulge in yourself and your hobbies— sometimes life just feels repetitive and boring and suffocating. Learning to love life again after hating it for so long is a feeling unlike any other, especially if it’s learned through the eyes of something (or someone) that’s never known any of this before.

— This story is set in 1984-85 NYC! It’s a period piece. It’s kindof obvious but it’s worth mentioning right ? —

The biology of the Alien is nonsensical, and its “flesh” is squishy and gross. It can, and does, store items inside of itself! It seems like it has an infinite amount of space inside of its body.

When Jose first learns the alien can do this he is fascinated. He can’t believe something living could store so much inside of them while also seemingly having working organs. What would it feel like for something living to enter? The alien doesn’t know. It’s species is only in contact with each other, they’ve never even seen another living organism before Earth!

At first, it starts as just his hand accidentally. Then his hand on purpose. Then a forearm. It doesn’t feel bad and it’s not exactly painful, more like a light tingling sensation (like if your foot falls asleep!) He doesn’t think anything of it until the markings start appearing.

Like tattoos, they started fading into existence underneath his skin. Only in the sections of his skin that entered the aliens biomass. They won’t scrub off no matter what, and searching under layers of skin just makes him more confused.
