It’s finals week and I wanna finish writing fashion police so bad there’s only a few thousand words left, and now this insane jail plot just dropped and I just know I could write an awesome story where Jannik bails Oscar out because Charles decides to be petty for choscar reasons but I’m too busy STUDYING

bringing up Oscar’s lack of experience compared to other drivers always sucks because you get hit with the “4th year rookie” when NO! This is not what we’re saying!

It’s not his fault anyone who could be used as a reasonable benchmark didn’t make it. Sargeant didn’t, nor DeVries, Zhou, Tsunoda… Lawson somehow would be the most logical comparison but the guy barely raced in half the seasons he participated in

So we’re stuck either comparing him to the 2019 class, which, by the way, have 4 more years of experience than him (that’s longer than Oscar’s ENTIRE career lol) or the 2025 class and, hello, is that unc with the kids? There’s just no winning 😞

#oscar piastri #also gotta point out that age is not a factor here #because maybe he’s “just” 2 years younger or something but that doesn’t change that those 2 years those guy spent in f1 he spent elsewhere #and “they got a competitive car at the same time” is also bullshit because what matters is experience at the tracks #are we seriously expecting a guy’s 2nd/3rd experience at a track to be as good as a guy’s 7th?#I fear one of the two is more used to actually physically driving the track but what do I know…#anyway even without an actual benchmark we can see how great he’s doing and improving and that’s what matters most!

I’m really happy ☺️ we started a race! And got p2 ☺️ yeah, this could’ve been a win without the safety car, but what a great feeling it is to be able to say that ☺️

ok so according to my calculations if I wake up 56 minutes before the race start Oscar should not be able to DNS since you cannot DNS after the race start. If I want to be safe and assume it’s about the car not breaking down, assuming a race is on average two hours, I should wake up 440 minutes (7h20) before the race start to ensure completion

Just checked f1 reddit for the first time in a few months and holy shit everything is so negative. Not going back there in a while that’s for sure.
