i rly disagree with almost all the analysis on trans men on here and it’s mainly bc all of it assumes non-transitioning, non-passing, not living as a man, etc

like if you pass a certain amount - and this is fairly difficult to quantify because it’s just kind of an instinctive gut feeling for people generally - and get outed, even with transphobic people they don’t actually see you as a “failed woman” unless they’re a certain type of active bigot with an ideology, they see you as either Guy I Mean They or they just get really weird and angry about how much they see you as a man despite the fact that you “shouldn’t” be one.

but also like. i feel like there is SO MUCH doomposting about passing as a trans guy on here where ppl genuinely seem to believe that the only way to pass is to be hypermasc and aggressively heterosexual and to have no fun ever or whatever. and this might’ve been true in like 2005 when they were calling guys metrosexual for wearing jeans but genuinely if you pass otherwise they’ll just think you’re an eclectic gayboy. You Do Not Have To Be The Most Masculine Man In The World To Pass.
