Sunflower Ernest Bieler 1910

It grows so well when it’s surrounded by light, always reaching to the warmth of the sun. They’re deeply rooted to support themselves against the beating wind. They take time to blossom, but as they start to, they are so so beautiful and you can’t help but watch them grow. Looking at a field of them, I can’t help but be that much happier, especially when the sun hits them just right and everything feels warm and calm. And yeah, part of the reason I love it so much and why it makes me smile is because it’s something that I’m actually called. Because people associate it with me and have dubbed me ‘Sunflower’, and being associated with something as beautiful and as bright as a sunflower makes me smile each time.
