"How often can you really load up on sugar, right?" Pretty often if you were a kid, considering how often sugar was offered to them, whether in the form of ice cream, candy, sugary drinks or, of course, cotton candy. And that actually was hard to come by, which meant that it needed to be taken advantage of when it was offered. "Do you guys yell when you go through the tunnel?" he asked with a grin, following Lottie and her daughter towards the train ride, "that's something I always remember doing as a little kid."
Lottie laughed a little, "She knows she never gets this much at home which is probably why she keeps asking for it. I will have to cut her off soon." She shock her head for a moment as she tried to keep Maisy close by because if her daughter had it her way, she would be running off to any where she could. She laughed, "Oh of course, it's the only way. I taught Maisy it last year when she understood a bit more and she knows she has to do it now." She giggled as she paid for three tickets for the train ride to the person working there.

"Have you tried out any of the rides yet?" Jamie looked over from his spot. "My nephews already ran ahead and said they're going to try out the swings," he bit his lip. "And I really hope they listened to me and didn't eat a giant bag of popcorn beforehand. But you know ten-year-olds, they don't listen to anyone until after the fact," he shook his head with a laugh.
Lottie looked over at Jamie and smiled, "We have tried the train and the ferris wheel so far. I have to say. I loved the Ferris wheel but I think little miss over here loved the train more." She smiled as she ruffled her daughter Maisy's hair for a moment before looking at him, "Trust me i know exactly what you are saying." She laughed a little, "Have you got round to trying anything yet?"
"It is, but that really mean I need to make all of the decisions?" Tae queried with a light laugh, heading in the direction of the bar with her. "Bowling definitely works, and I never say no to a competition." It was true, he didn't, he was a bit of a nightmare in fact. "Drink of choice today would definitely have to be cocktails. What's a birthday without something fun, right? Let's see what they've got."
Lottie laughed, "Well in my eyes your birthday is the only day you chose what you wanna do and people have to go along with it." She laughed a little looking at Tae for a moment and smiled, "Got to love a bit of competition right?" She nodded as they walked towards the bar, "Okay, lets take a look at this menu and then you just tell me what you want." She smiled as she handed him the menu.
WHERE: The Great Escape, the suburbs WHO: Dylan and @lottienewman
"Ready to relieve some stress?" Dylan said with a wide grin. They probably shouldn't grin that much. But the perks of working there, they could use the employee discount to use one of the rage rooms for a quick destroying session when they weren't busy. They'd be the one that would be cleaning them up anyway. They handed the second bat towards Lottie, it was as battered as a lot of the items in the room. "Watch where you're swinging though. Remember, I'm in the room as well," they added with a wink.
Lottie was in the mood to let out some stress after the day she had, dropping Maisy off at her dads and the conversation they had just got to her so she took the time to travel to Dylan's work place and hang out with them and get some anger out really. As she arrived she smiled as she saw Dylan there, "Boy more ready than I have been for anything." She laughed a little looking over before taking the bat and smiled, her aim was shocking so this was going to be fun, "I make no promises but I will try. Maybe just try to stay out of the way when I swing." She laughed a little.

Who: @lottienewman and Brad
Where: Carnival, rides
When: July 2026
Once Brad and Navy had gotten the green light to tell people, he knew the first person he had to tell was his sister. And the yearly carnival was the perfect way to let her know she was going to be an aunt again. "Hey you," he said, almost skipping as he joined her but the rides, slinging an arm across her shoulders. "Definitely gotta get on these rides before we do anything else."
Lottie loved the annual carnival, it was always something she looked forward too and having Maisy with her was a bonus because she got to show her everything she loved. As she stood there whilst Maisy ate some candy floss, she felt the arm across her shoulders and recognised the voice and smiled, "Well look who finally showed up." She smiled as she got Maisy's attention to say hi to her uncle for a moment, "Of course we do, just like old times, the thing is which one?" She smiled over at her brother.
WHO: Seungbin & Lottie @lottienewman
WHEN: carnival
WHAT: any evening time
ఇ "I almost don't know what to do without my daughter pulling me everywhere." Seungbin turns to her with his brow arched in question. The lights of the carnival were glowing nicely and the Ferris wheel was still going, but he couldn't tell what kind of a mood he was in. What does Cheon Seungbin as a person like to do by himself? "I look like a fish out of water. Not to continue with the fishing metaphors..." There would be no escaping it with the hat he had been bought. "Do you have any suggestions?"
Lottie was so happy to have an event with her daughter instead of her being at her dads like the spring fling. It had got late so she took Maisy home to a sitter so that she could enjoy the remainder of the event for the day. She saw Seungin and smiled and laughed, "Honestly, it's so much easier when Maisy is here, like seriously what do you do when your kid isn't saying what game they want to play." She laughed a little looking at him shaking her head for a moment, "Well the Ferris Wheel looks nice and I couldn't go on it earlier as Maisy is scared of it." She smiled, "We could go on together maybe?"
Surprised when he felt someone run into his legs, Jason let out a loud laugh and dropped one hand to rest on the young girl's back when he realized that he knew her, and he wasn't just being bowled over by a couple of rambunctious youngsters running through the carnival grounds -- thank goodness. "Hey," he grinned, looking from Maisy up to Lottie, recognizing her instantly, "that is definitely one way to say hi, how many bags of cotton candy have you gone through so far?" Although he was mostly joking, he knew how tempting it could be when you were young. Hell, even when you were older and the sugar was right there in front of you, it was hard to say no. "So far, so good, it's nice to have a few days off to enjoy it," and not have to do any work, himself, minus a trip or two into the dunk booth. After all, the state park did benefit from the money raised. "Think my long legs can fit in one of the cars?" he asked, turning to look at the train and then breaking into a grin. "One way to find out, I guess!"
Lottie smiled, her daughter was definitely a mini version of her. However, when she had sugar she was worse but in the best way possible. She laughed, "She might have had bit too much but it's a special occasion so it's a one off." She laughed a little as Maisy was fascinated by everything around her for a moment she nodded, "Oh yeah days off work is always a treat." She nodded for a moment, "I think we can make it work. Hopefully, it's not too long of a journey." She smiled for a moment as they walked towards the train and she held Maisy's hand.
"Or, you know what?" Stelly asked with a broad grin, "maybe having someone I can compete against will give me a little more motivation, and we can both walk away winners." Which wasn't a bad idea. No matter how much Stelly wanted the unicorn, there was no way that they were going to win a prize before Maisy, they wanted the little girl to walk out of there a winner first and foremost, but if they could help her win, and then Lottie and Maisy could help them win in return... win-win all the way around, wasn't it? "I... don't want to admit," they let out a sputtering laugh, handing over more change and watching their machine come to life. "I've spent like, twenty dollars, though."
Lottie smiled a little and nodded, "Sounds likes a brilliant plan." She smiled as she saw her daughter grin when she realised they were about to play this game. She was good at keeping her daughter happy but knew if she didn't get her daughter the toy she would be going around with a crying toddler. Lottie laughed, "Okay, then I think we need get you that unicorn, are you ready to play? Think we can do it!" She smiled, "First round is on me. Let's go."
with: charlotte & @jaceeverett
where: carnival, near train ride
Lottie and Maisy were milling around the carnival, maisy had maybe had a little bit too much sugar and was very excitable. Lottie was just happy to have her daughter with her for this event. As she was looking for something that meant that they could sit down for a bit which would hopefully calm her daughter down a little bit, she noticed Jace wandering around near the train ride, she smiled and knelt down by her daughter and whispered, "look over there, its jace, shall we go on over and say hi?" She smiled as her daughter nodded, so they walked over to him, well more like Maisy went barrelling on into his legs to give him a hug and Lottie smiled, "Well that is one way to say hi, sorry she's a little hyper. But Hey Jace, how are you finding the carnival? Fancying a ride on the train with us?"

WHO: stelly & open!
WHERE: carnival
WHEN: july, 2026
"I'm going to go broke, but I'm going to win that unicorn," they pointed to the dark purple stuffed animal with a silver and blue mane and tail hanging out above the skee-ball slides, eyes narrowed in concentration, "in fact, if you help me out in my quest, I'll do whatever you want next, on my dime. Rides, more games, food... ice cream?" The last bit was supplied a bit sing-songed as they shot up both brows, trying to sound as appealing as possible.
Lottie was happy to get to spend the time at the carnival with her daughter, they were checking out all of the stalls. As they arrived at the game that Maisy wanted to play because she wanted to win a soft toy she noticed Stelly there and she smiled over at the girl for a moment, "As much as I would love to help you in the unicorn. I have got to help this little one win a toy before I have a pouty and sad child to deal with all day." She laughed a little before looking at her daughter, "How about once we get Maisy a toy, we help you win the unicorn? I will let you get Mais the ice cream." She smiled looking over at her and laughed a little, "How long have you been playing this for?"
"That's what I thought." Erin laughed softly, leaning back in her seat on the couch and stretching her legs. She watched as her friend picked up her daughter's toys and put them away in a box. "Is Maisy asleep already? I was hoping to get here before she was in bed. I miss that little angel," she admitted, a genuine smile creeping up on her lips at the thought of the little girl whom she loved with her whole heart. Knowing Erin, though, she was probably going to stay the night at Lottie's place, so she figured she would still get to see Maisy in the morning. "Yes, I've been quite busy. Buying and selling houses requires a lot of paperwork, and it's my job to make sure everything is signed and filed properly, that all of the laws are being met when the deed is being transferred from one person to another. It's a lot of work," she explained, sighing. "But since that's all done and out of the way, I'm ready to relax." When Lottie brought up having wine, Erin perked up in an instant. "You know you don't have to ask me twice, Lottie. I'm always drinking!"
Lottie couldn't help but laugh for a brief moment before turning to face the girl and nodded, "Yeah she had a long day and was very tired." She smiled, "She misses you too, we will have to plan something during the day one day when you have a free few hours. Or you'll have to stay over, she'd love to wake up to you being here in the morning" She smiled, since her break up with Maisy's dad, her friends and family had stepped up and been a great help to her to adjust to being a single mother. She nodded, "Sounds like a lot of work to be honest, I think I will stay with the horses." She laughed a little looking over at her "You deserve the chance to relax." She smiled turning to her fridge and pulling out the wine and opening it before getting two glasses and pouring the wine as she smiled before passing the glass to her friend, "Cheers to your three deals and having a relaxing and fun girls night."
"That's true. Anything to give back to the community, am I right?" JJ remarked in response to her words. When she pointed out that he might have an artist on his hands, potentially, he responded with a shrug. "Hey, I'm not like my parents. I'm not going to push my kid towards medicine like they did with me. If she does want to be an artist when she grows up, then that's her choice, and I'm all for it. As long as it makes her happy, you know?" While he did not hold it against his parents for encouraging his interest in medicine, he did not want to do the same with his daughter. There were enough doctors in the Hayes family. They did not need another one. "Yeah, I'm sure she would have enjoyed herself here. The event's certainly quite kid-friendly. But since you're alone, you should try to enjoy yourself. Even moms deserve to have a little fun on their own. Not just the kids."
Lottie smiled, "Oh definitely." She smiled looking over at her friend for a moment, she nodded, "That is a good thing. Love seeing parents let their kids pursue what they want to rather than falsing them to follow down the path they want for their kids." She smiled, she knew she was never going for false maisy into anything. She nodded, "She would have done. Yeah very true, well what are you doing right now? Want to do something fun since we're both here?"

"I come bearing gifts!" Erin announced as she entered Lottie's home, holding multiple pizza boxes. She closed the door behind her and made her way over to the living room. "I stopped by Pizza Thyme on my way over and picked up a few pies and extra garlic knots." Setting the pizza boxes down on the coffee table, she flopped onto the couch and leaned back for a moment. "I just closed three real estate deals at work, and then spent my entire afternoon redoing my entire filing system and updating a whole spreadsheet. I think girls' night is exactly what I need after the day I've just had," she admitted, sighing before she met her friend's gaze. "How was your day?"
Lottie was in the process of putting Maisy's toys away now that she was gone off to bed as she noticed her best friend walking in and she couldn't help but smile, there was something about seeing her best friend that brought a warmth to her chest. "Well I am always down for Pizza you know that." She laughed a little looking over at the girl as she put the toys in her hand in a box and laughed, "Well it sounds liek you have been extremely busy. Very riveting." She laughed a little looking over at her and nodded, "Not as busy as yours, you know I did some horse riding lessons this morning and then just spent time with Maisy pretty much the norm for me at the moment. So girls night is definitely long over due and you're lucky i have wine, are you drinking tonight? We can celebrate you three deals!"

“I got you covered.” She promised. Jordyn was hands on in other diy things but actually drawing was her down fall. “I am better at painting cabinets and putting out fires than this.” She was just here to have fun honestly. “climbing trees forced my dad to build a tree house so it worked in my favor.” She remembered the memory fondly. “When was the last time you rode a horse?”
Lottie smiled at the girl and nodded, "Wow, do you ever get stressed when putting out fires?" She asked raising an eyebrow for a moment before looking over at the girl and nodded. She laughed, "Oh I ride horses pretty much for a living, my job is a riding instructor so all the time. I guess riding for myself like I used to it has been a while."
"Well at least we're on the same page," he grinned though in reality between the two of them they rarely argued or even disagreed. His sister was one of his favorite people in life and now even more so as adults. "The camaraderie is the best part to be honest, not that Merrock isn't close knit. But this just feels different you know?" He asked as he tilted his head ever so slightly. "I don't want Merrock to become a tourist trap or even a tourist destination more than it already is," he sighed and leaned his head on his fist for a moment before nodding. "It's been great so far, and hey you definitely deserve a break. Raising kids are hard in and of itself, but you deserve it doubly ya know."
Lottie laughed a little and nudged him for a moment, "Always on the same page Brad, you know that." She smiled at her brother, she looked forward to hang out with her brother, it was always fun and just felt comforting. She nodded and agreed, "It definitely feels different, not that there is anything wrong with that but this has taken over the whole town and I am just hoping things work out for the best." She sighed a little and nodded, "Honestly, Merrock is not made to be a tourist trap." She ran a hand through her hair for a moment, although she missed her daughter, she did agree with him, "You make a good point. I mean raising kids is hard, I am just lucky that my daughter is quite easy to raise." Maisy was her best friend, sounded cringey since she couldn't help her in times of need with advice but she helped her in several other ways.
