"I gotta hand it to you for sure. I help bring babies into the world but those who raise them are superheros," he put his hands up and let out a whistle. "Oh a beach play date is way ahead of a regular play date for sure," he nodded and agreed, "I'd say from the other parents point of view, yeah. Going to the beach is a lot especially with a kid. Add in more than one and I can't even begin to imagine how stressful it can be."

Lottie loved the annual carnival, it was always something she looked forward too and having Maisy with her was a bonus because she got to show her everything she loved. As she stood there whilst Maisy ate some candy floss, she felt the arm across her shoulders and recognised the voice and smiled, "Well look who finally showed up." She smiled as she got Maisy's attention to say hi to her uncle for a moment, "Of course we do, just like old times, the thing is which one?" She smiled over at her brother.

Brad gave a quick kiss upon her niece's head before he had slung his arm across his sisters shoulders. "Oh funny," he pretended to laugh before rolling his eyes, "I had a few things to do and take care of. And help Navy with some morning sickness." He then shook his head, playing it cool as if he didn't just drop a hint to his sister. "Perfect, and hm good question," he looked over at the rides before side eyeing her to see if things registered or not.

Giving Bradley a firm, but warm shake, Jason let out a laugh when he asked if he missed him getting in the tank, nodding his head. "Yeah, and that's my civic duty for the week, I won't be betting back in there." Which was a lie, because if someone asked him to, Jason would do it in a minute. That was just the kind of person that he was, he didn't hesitate. Even for a damn dunk tank. "Kind of hard not to, everything looks and sounds great, as always. I know I want some ice cream, but that's gotta be the treat before you go home, you know?" He crossed his arms over his chest, surveying his options and letting out a breath, "think I might start with a traditional hot sausage and fries, load 'em up real good with vinegar." He started in that direction, knowing Bradley would follow after him, "how's life been?"

"Well I got one can say thank you for your service," he quipped back before clapping him on the back gently. Bradley had to hand it to those who braved getting in the tank, both because of the dunking part and the embarrassment part. But it was all in good fun. Grabbing his stomach, he nodded and playfully let out a groan, "Yeah. And I had a very light dinner last night and breakfast this morning because I knew how much good food there'd be. And for sure, ending the day on a high note with some ice cream is the way to go." He grinned before see sawing his head a bit, "I'm definitely thinking a hot dog and maybe a burger. And then maybe some fries. See how I feel you know?" He didn't want to overdo it right out of the gate. "I'm doing really good," he replied and strode next to Jason, "how about you?"

Glancing up when he heard someone say his name, Jason broke into a smile at the sight of Bradley, nodding his head, "evening, sir." After all, if they were going for formalities. But he let out a laugh soon after, holding his hand out to properly greet him with a handshake. "So far, so good. Got in the dunk booth a little bit earlier today, that was fun," at least as fun as it could be when you came out of a tank of dirty water, but he knew it was all for a good cause, and when had a challenge stopped him, anyway? "Couldn't ignore the aroma of really good food, so I figured I'd head over this way and see what sounded best. Trouble is... pretty much everything sounds good. And smells even better."

Bradley grinned and stretched out a hand for the other to shake back. He was happy to see his friend out and about, especially at the carnival whom he was sure they had run into each other as kids there too. "Good to hear," he nodded before groaning, "you mean I missed it? Damn. Would have been fun to see. Plus it's for a good cause so it's a win-win in my book." He was purely teasing of course, having fun with an old friend. "Ah, and that's exactly how I ended up here too. Followed my nose and lo and behold," he gestured about before grabbing his stomach. "Way too many options if you ask me. Like everything sounds, smells, and looks so damn delicious."

Brad nodded, understanding now. "Ah I got it. I thought having a kid and two dogs was hectic. Three kids alone is ambitious." He let out a soft chuckle, and listened to the other more. "Honestly is prefer going over other people's houses for play dates, just so I don't have to worry about cleaning and hosting so I get it." He smiled and imagined a house full of kids and a dog which made him very happy. "Ah, my daughter is like me. Probably too social and too friendly ya know? Though she can be quiet like her mom. So I guess the best parts of both of us? But oh yeah I can imagine for sure."

Brad nodded, "ahhh gotcha. Yeah this guy can be but he's mellowing out in his old age. Or at least I thought he did." He laughed a bit, before looking over at Sadie momentarily. "I get that absolutely, and yeah kids will do that. I have just one and she tuckers me out," his daughter was the light of his life. "Oh they totally do, at that like witching hour right before bed and kids and dogs are the best."

Lottie laughed a little and nudged him for a moment, "Always on the same page Brad, you know that." She smiled at her brother, she looked forward to hang out with her brother, it was always fun and just felt comforting. She nodded and agreed, "It definitely feels different, not that there is anything wrong with that but this has taken over the whole town and I am just hoping things work out for the best." She sighed a little and nodded, "Honestly, Merrock is not made to be a tourist trap." She ran a hand through her hair for a moment, although she missed her daughter, she did agree with him, "You make a good point. I mean raising kids is hard, I am just lucky that my daughter is quite easy to raise." Maisy was her best friend, sounded cringey since she couldn't help her in times of need with advice but she helped her in several other ways.

With his hands in his pockets, he playfully fell a little back as his sister pushed him. "Always," he grinned as he looked at her, one of his favorite people and all around best friends. "Yeah I don't like it. And you know me, I usually go with the flow, try not to make waves kind of thing. But this? I don't know, it doesn't feel right," he shivered a little, the mere thought of a town taken over didn't sit right with him. "No it isn't, I mean it's a hidden gem for sure, but it's our town, it's a little haven and too many tourist will ruin it," not that tourists were a bad thing but being overrun with them was. "Well she's got an amazing mom and uncle in her corner," he winked and laughed a bit, "she's a good kid. You're doing good with her ya know."

Bradley was far from a luddite but he wasn't exactly the biggest technophile either. He was able to use his computer at home, his one at work, and all the latest tech at the hospital. But for some reason as soon as he opened his laptop this morning, he was met with a weird message he had never seen before. As Sadie was with a friend, he figured the next person to handle the job was his cousin, who probably knew more than Sadie anyway. After sending an SOS to them, he anxiously waited for Dylan's arrival. "Hey, so I have absolutely no idea what is wrong with this thing," he said showing them to his computer as it sat in the dining room table.

Brad caressed her cheek, his thumb grazing her skin ever so softly. "Good, because honestly I don't know what I'd do with you or Sadie," his voice was steady but there was a lump in his throat just even thinking about that. "And you always better, whether it's a small problem or a big one," his hands now moved from her cheek and now rested upon her hand. He would communicate with her right back knowing she would too, especially now that she was carrying their second child. He laughed right alongside her, "absolutely. Those two party animals?" He let out a snort as he laughed, "so I've heard. And yes, when they're sleeping I definitely hope you can sleep. And you know I'll do whatever I can to help." Whether with the pregnancy itself or just in general, she was his partner and he upheld that end of the deal very much so. His brows softened with mention of their daughter, "hey I get it. But I love being able to see how she sees the world. Getting a front row seat at her discovering everything? It makes my heart burst ya know." He patted his chest, before running a hand through his hair. He had been all settled in on the couch but he truly did want to try the new device, having bought it with his own money. As he got up to get it, he could almost feel his body buzzing with electricity. As he trend, he laughed at her being all ready, "I think I just like plug it into a phone and we can see?" He asked and started to open the box, his hands almost trembling with excitement as he started to read the insert as he got everything out. Taking out his phone and following the instructions, he turned up the volume and plugged everything in. As he placed the wand on her belly, he fiddled around with it until he got the right area, a quick thumping sound echoing through the speakers. "Our little one," he grinned and showed her the phone.

"Okay good," the last thing he would want was to send someone to the ER because of an allergic reaction. "Oh nice, definitely cute dogs. And I can imagine, I feel like they're definitely on the energetic side for sure." He smiled before chuckling, "touche. Plus when they give you those puppy dog eyes? How can one ever be mad." He shook his head, not knowing how anyone could ever get mad at a dog or any animal. "It's a beautiful day, I get that. I left my other dog at home with his mom, figured I'd give Wally here some extra attention and let him get out the zoomies."

Lottie took a glance over at her brother, also her best friend and nodded, "Oh I am not a fan of this benefactor. However, I do love that everyone has come together to raise money." She smiled, seeing the town together it was nice, it was nice to see everyone but it just felt so wholesome and like they were all connected. She nodded, "I don't like the idea of what this will do to Merrock. I think everyone is doing a good job at coming together to do anything to stop it." She smiled as she looked at him and nodded, "Honestly. I do think they love that about themselves though." She sighed before looking at him, "The Spring Fling is fun though, this is a fun way to raise money for sure, it's also fun when you're off mom duty for the weekend." She smiled looking over at her brother.

"Well at least we're on the same page," he grinned though in reality between the two of them they rarely argued or even disagreed. His sister was one of his favorite people in life and now even more so as adults. "The camaraderie is the best part to be honest, not that Merrock isn't close knit. But this just feels different you know?" He asked as he tilted his head ever so slightly. "I don't want Merrock to become a tourist trap or even a tourist destination more than it already is," he sighed and leaned his head on his fist for a moment before nodding. "It's been great so far, and hey you definitely deserve a break. Raising kids are hard in and of itself, but you deserve it doubly ya know."
