Half-Blood Emperor

Lotor appraised the damage. From the flow of blood, it looked like he wouldn't bleed out, but it looked fairly serious… painful, to be sure. More scary than immediately deadly.

Good. He hadn't intended to kill him.

There was at least a half a meter's difference between them. This made offering an arm rather difficult. Lotor ended up simply placing an arm around the smaller one's shoulders to ensure he remained upright for the time being.

“Don't worry. We can patch you up.”

He was putting on the charm now, smooth talking in a way that seemed genuine. A practiced gesture, eye contact, a smile. All doctored to seem trustworthy.

Right now? The mission was the only thing that mattered.

“If you come peacefully, I'll make sure the others don't hurt you. You're in no danger now.”

Too good to be true? Perhaps. But he was scared and injured. Might as well lay it on thick.

Honestly, I think that he, like Allura, led a pretty... sheltered life in some ways. But unlike her, the concept of farming animals for nourishment/benefit isn’t nearly as far-fetched as one might think, especially since Kaltenecker clearly seems not to mind too much.

Lotor smirked at the attack. He was wearing armor– it did little more than scuff that, really. But it was an admirable display.

Oh, but the more he looked at the little one, the more ideas he got. Scrappy, brave– even when faced with what could easily been a death sentence. Or worse. Imprisonment and experimentation… had Lotor been his parents.

But he wasn't. Not wholly, anyway. And just different enough to take his own approach.

Instead of yanking him to his feet as he'd first intended, the Prince knelt down, offering an arm to the wounded feline.

“I am not your enemy. Half-breeds like us should stick together.”
