My laptop is still broken, so the songs lyrics will be in like brackets or something instead of italics. This is just something I kinda came up with based off of Colors by Halsey. Also this is so much longer than I anticipated (because Wonwoo is a bias wrecker)

You were red, and you liked me because I was blue

Wonwoo is blue. Not a blue like the morning sky or a robin’s egg that has fallen from a nest, but he is indigo like the night sky when the moon illuminates everything in a soft glow and its light is distorted by the transparent clouds. A hue so dark that without the small light peeking through it is black. Without that light, it is hopeless to peer through the darkness. Wonwoo is like the mysterious blue of the midnight sky, and the light illuminating his body was the vermilion glow of the tip of his cigarette. The leaden smoke wafting around him resembled the clouds. Wonwoo himself was an enigma, an obscurity of my life, similar to how the sky was still blue even in the darkest of times.

I am red. Red like the neon signs that irradiate the buildings in downtown Seoul where Wonwoo and I wander. Incarnadine like the blood that trickled from Wonwoo’s nose when he fought the man trying to take advantage of me. I am as rubescent as his slightly bruised lips which look most comfortable when wrapped around his cigarettes.

Together, we are purple. Not a bright and common purple, but a purple that makes you question its identity. We are livid like the bags under our eyes, deprived of sleep, and possibly even love. Lilac like the sunset that is saturated in hues of rose, puce, and saffron. Separated, Wonwoo and I are undesirable, but together, we complete each other. It is a strange friendship, no doubt, but it is as beautiful as the ashen sidewalks we travel.

West Side Story: I can’t think about this without thinking about “POISON BOOTS” also holy shit the percussion in this show deserves its own production
