It might finally be time to talk about the parents of my JJK OC, Tōshihime Hikari.

So, here are Kiragami Hikari and Rin Yamamoto, Tōshihime’s mothers. Yes, they are both her biological mothers.

Kira created Tōshihime with Rin’s help using her CT, Spirit Track, which consists of manipulating souls in a certain way. They also added remnants of CE from the goddess Amaterasu, and that is how Tōshihime was born. Kira was the one who carried Tōshihime in her womb.

Before Sukuna’s birth, Rin was by far the most powerful and talented exorcist of her time. I haven’t come up with a name for her CT yet, but just imagine the highest levels of elemental mastery seen in Avatar (ATLA and LOK), and you’ll get an idea of Rin’s main abilities. Although she did not master Domain Expansion, her control over her CT was exceptional, inventive, and remarkable, not to mention her perfect mastery of RCT. Rin was both feared and respected, yet she lived a peaceful life, disliking conflict and battle.

Kira and Rin met one evening in the woods while Kira was gathering medicinal herbs. Rin immediately fell under the mysterious charm of the young woman, and a relationship quickly formed between them. They referred to each other as wives, even though they were never officially married, as the customs of the time did not allow it.

After experiencing a vision of Sukuna becoming the calamity he would one day be, Kira desperately searched for him across Japan for years, hoping to change his path by raising him together with Rin.

Until one day, as she and Rin were walking back to their manor with a two-year-old Tōshihime, Sukuna then 17 years old, attacked them. Rin engaged him in a fierce battle, allowing Kira to escape with their daughter.

After hours of fighting, Rin ultimately died at Sukuna’s hands.

As for Kira, upon returning to the manor, she was ambushed by assassins from the Fujiwara clan and killed in her own home. According to those in power, Tōshihime’s creation was unnatural, an act of heresy. However, they did not kill the child.

In this AU, Tōshihime grew up with her two mothers, Kiragami Hikari and Rin Yamamoto (I’ll make a post to talk about them in more depth here). The two women passed off their daughter’s conception as a divine blessing from Amaterasu herself, hiding the heretical nature, according to exorcism rules, of Tōshihime’s birth.

From the moment she was born, Tōshihime was worshipped as a living goddess, a direct descendant of the goddess of life herself. Her power, The Light of God, grants healing here; she never developed the offensive side of her abilities. She is promised in marriage to the future clan head, Isumo Fujiwara, so that the two of them may become emperor and empress of the country, ensuring divine blood within the royal lineage. Tōshihime and Isumo have a crush on each other that they don’t bother hiding, not to mention that Isumo is completely head over heels for her.

Sukuna, in a “I kinda feel like messing with everyone” kind of mood, decides to kidnap Tōshihime: first, because he’s intensely curious about her, and second, because he has a beef with one of her mothers (Rin). Tōshihime agrees to go with him solely to guarantee the safety of her people, her mothers, and her fiancé. Once in his domain, Tōshihime avoids the King of Curses like the plague, or at least, she tries, because, as mentioned before, he’s curious about her. It’s not every day he gets the chance to talk to a “living goddess,” so he’s constantly lingering around her.

As events unfold one after another, their relationship is filled with highs and many lows. Sukuna pulls countless underhanded moves on Tōshihime, but she chooses to stay, once again to protect her loved ones. Until Sukuna comes up with yet another absurd idea, not only to humiliate Tōshihime, but also her mothers and the entire Fujiwara clan: taking Tōshihime as his wife.

She accepts, after making an unbreakable vow with Sukuna, agreeing to become his wife in exchange for the safety of those she loves.
