I’ve been playing around with my “Stone Fruit Season” zine, which will be a small collection of love poems. I keep feeling stuck, and then coming back to this project but it feels like it might be coming together.

I’ve been painting some little face studies, using references from pinterest. I usually don’t share much sketchbook stuff because I try to keep it as a safe space that allows for bad art but I like how these turned out. Aside from the obvious benefits that come with general practice, I feel like it’s been helping me figure out my own short cuts for painting facial features. Also, if you ever feel like you’ve wasted a sketchbook page with some vague pencil lines, I recommend painting over the whole thing. Have you ever tried that?

Hello! I've been working on this seasonal poster for a while now and I feel a little nervous to put it out into the world but here goes. I've often wondered when certain fruits or vegetables are in season and wanted a visual guide for my own reference. I hope other people will find it useful too! .
