But that's when we see it in Season 2. Lucifer isn't the type to take responsibilities for his fuck ups. He's the type of person who'll try to slink away from the person he angered until they force a confrontation with him. That's probably what added to his sentence to be honest. The folks in Heaven seeing that Lucifer was unrepentant of his actions, was blaming others for his failure, and tried to run away from the consequences so they stuffed him in a place where he could no longer run from what he's done.

I do find nearly everything about Lucifer weird in the shows to be honest.

If it was just Hazbin Hotel ok, Lucifer is depressed, his wife left him, Sinners are basically running amok without him being able to do anything and he straight up signed a deal with Heaven about Exterminations. He is an absent, depressed neet who can't even support his daughter while she is over her head but trying. No need to think that much about it.

Then we learned Hellborn is a thing, he created Goetia, he might even have created the Sins and most Hellborn are basically under the yoke of his system. Where the lives of lower class Hellborn are cheaper than water. A system where not even the Goetia and the Sins are free from, even if they suffer less, see Stolas and Asmodeus. Oh and he is also neglecting all of them.

Recapitulating all the major mistakes of the old EU but somehow more egregiously while simultaneously sucking away all the bits that were actually interesting is essentially the Disney Star Wars special. Also, they let Charles Wendig (Scalzi with somehow even less ability) write, which is an unforgivable crime.

They've got Simon frikking Kinberg writing their Post Sequel Trilogy. These are levels of self-sabotage never seen before.

Of course it does. It's all just a circle jerk for these new writers. They're desperate to "prove" how superior they are to Lucas and Co, and they can't understand why everyone else can't acknowledge their brilliance.

They've basically just been reduced to believing that everyone is prejudiced against them because they're stupid and evil, and the only people they need to pander to are the mindless sycophants. Whatever happens, happens.

I haven't watched S2 beyond a few clips and don't plan to neither for S3, but I doubt they metioned or will ever raise the issue of recovering the exorcists' bodies (and the fact they were eaten). Like, those angels probably had friends and family, why no one demands a decent funeral or justice? Is it just Lute? Instead, we have gift baskets as an apology from Heaven to sinners. Well, even if it would appeared in the series, they would probably botch it too.

If writers would be kinda more creative they could give Heaven actual reasons for Exterminations, instead they made everyone who oppose Charlie evil. They could show sinners being pieces of shit, getting what they sow and then whining about it while making victims out of themselves.

Well, at least they showed how evil triumphs because of incompetence or corruption of good people.

This whole situation unfortunately reminds me in some way of a few situations from real life (not exactly the same, but still) less known examples:

Volhynian massacre (1943–1945) which was a brutal ethnic cleansing lead by the UPA. They coworked with fucking Nazi in Eastern Europe and murdered their neighbors (civilians: women, children and the elderly). To modern days they make exhumations difficult, progress is small.

And they say that those murderers were 'heroes'.

A lot of people praise it or justify it.

But nowdays when they want something or someone points out this historical injustice then they say that you shouldn't live in the past because it worsens 'good relations' they have today (and this is the best kind of reaction these people have). Yes, they have a grudge against educate about this part of the history and try to silent it.

Or the fact that lately some German 'historicians' (with political agenda) try to change history to 'share' their blame for WWII with everyone around they can.

The Golden Age/The Original Era (1977-1996)

This period is the time period when Star Wars offically begun with the Original Trilogy and within a coupe of years it transformed into a major movie icon surpassing Star Trek. With the comics made by Marvel, The Thrawn Trilogy and the radio version of the three films most people looked back on that period as the best time for being a Star Wars

The Silver Age/The Prequel or The Late Geroge Lucus Era (1997-2011)

During that period Geroge Lucus starts to make changes which of course annoyed many older star wars fan like the Special Edition changes along with the release of the Prequels leading backlash towards Geroge Lucus. Despite this this leads to newer fans joining in and it is still a huge icon at that time period. It also redeemed itself with the Clone Wars TV series 2D and 3D (through some fans prefer the 2D over the 3D one).

The Bronze Age/The Early Disney Era (2012-2016)

In 2012 Disney brought Lucusfilm as Geroge Lucus is getting old and wants to move to other things. It was during this era that Disney would try to course correct from the issues that most people have with the Prequels and rebooting the old EU in favor of the new one. The release of The Force Awakens and Rouge One brought Star Wars back to the cinema limelight since 2005. Star Wars Rebels the sequel to the Clone Wars series is often talked about when asking about the Bronze Age of Star Wars

The Dark Age (2017-Present?)

The sheer implications of the book and the exterminations are just staggeringly dumb. You telling me either Lillth sat down and wrote a fairytale for Charlie before going out for milk and cigs when the exterminations started, or Charlie wrote the- no, she probably didn't even write it, she comissioned it like the silver spoon brat she is. She commissioned a fairytale book to obsess over while being a fucking adult.

And like, the Sinners should be still in the "We will resist them in the air, on the ground, etcetera etcetera!" phase with Overlords amassing power and manpower through promises of leadership and fighting back. Instead they act like the Exterminations have been a part of their yearly life as long as anyone could remember.

Like, that's not how people function. It took longer for people to become fatigued of the post-9/11 war in the middle east, and that one was unpopular even with the terror attack galvanizing people.
