Mother Of Cheese

Words cannot express how much I love this funky little creature.

My city’s farmers market came back this week, so my partner and I took out Dwayne (the cyclops) and Límon Plantsworth (da phrog).

Two new munchkins have joined the family today. The one on the left is Jawbreaker and on the right we have Bomb-Pop.

My partner and I celebrated Valentine’s Day a little late, mostly because we didn’t wanna deal with crazy long waits. Of all places, we went to Red Lobster after shopping, and who better to take than Ceviche and Bisque.

Bisque is in the grey vest with blue tie, and Ceviche somehow got away with a t-shirt that looks like a tuxedo.

Why is he caged?

First post of 2026! I’d like to introduce Shirley (left) and Baker (right), my custom Cinnamorolls!

Shirley is named after, and inspired by the iconic Shirley Temple drink. Her little butt design is made of felt and her cherries are pompoms. She’s an adventurous little lady, who’s really up for anything so long as she doesn’t risk losing the leaf on her head. I even went the extra mile and purchased a cherry scent from a Build-A-Bear to make her smell super good.

Then we have Baker. His design is based on the old gingerbread Hello Kitty from the early 2000’s. He’s a little wonky, the brown of his eyes bleeding, his ear frosting being too low, and the bite of the other ear looking a bit wonky, but he’s my imperfect little rascal and I love him so much. Baker’s a bit of a shy guy, still learning from his older siblings how to be brave.

A taqueria nearby my house has a Santa Skeleton. Mageworth (the funny lil frog) did not realize it was a decoration, and thought Santa was there just for him. Mageworth was happy to get his burrito and admire twinkling lights.

Had to do last minute Christmas shopping, and of course Bisque and Ceviche asked to go with. Honestly they weren’t much help, but they didn’t misbehave, so I consider it a win. (Bisque is in the blue tank top and Ceviche is in the white t-shirt).

Cheese Sammich and Pie Ball had an AMAZING time at the pumpkin patch last night. Pie Ball had never seen so many pumpkins before, and he had the best time. Cheese Sammich didn’t get to see animals at the pumpkin patch we went to last year, so he was blown away at getting to see so many furry friends.

Part Four

Now we have our Kuromi gang! So far, Kuromi has the most variations of all the Sanrio characters at Build-A-Bear (aside from Hello Kitty of course). It’s not without good reason, obviously, because look at her! Let’s introduce these lil ladies, left to right.

Sprite Cranberry: Christmas/Holiday Kuromi. She was honestly the first one I bought of the set from last year. Sprite is cool and maybe a little crispy like her soda lol. She’s calm, prefers to keep her earbuds in and jam out to music. Sprite is wearing her dress for now, but she’s always looking for her next look.

Pez: Last year’s Halloween baby. Pez was actually named because of a conversation I had with an old coworker who’d never tried the candy before. Pez actually was my sole backpack buddy for a week straight, and she got to see our old workshop go from Halloween to Christmas. Pez feels caught between the two holidays on which is her favorite. Honestly, she just likes the cold and being outside.

Zinger: This year’s Halloween baby. Zinger was shown off before trying on outfits, and I’m sorry to say that she did that for nothing, and lives in the t-shirt you see on her now. She is a witch, and she strives to be famous. Sadly she has very little fashion sense outside of her siblings, but her heart and enthusiasm are there.

Funky Burger: Frequently just referred to as Funky or Burga. She was a gift from my old assistant chief for getting through my first year at the workshop. Funky will not rest until she finds the best burger. There’s a local shop in my downtown area that has her heart at the moment. When it’s summer again, you best believe she’s at the county fair. This girl loves anything deep fried.

Sour Grapes: My purple baby 💜. I got her, I wanna say less than six months after Cheeseball, so naturally the two are besties. Sour Grapes is a huge fan of grape juice obviously, and her favorite thing to do is cook for her younger sisters. Very polite, just can be a little loud sometimes, but can’t we all?

Slider: It’s always the minis that are the most chaotic, and Slider is no exception. Slider is most likely to sneak in my purse when I’m about to go out. She likes using my old library card as her pretend credit card. Made the mistake of taking her to the movies with the moving seats once, and now she’s obsessed and wants to go back like every week.

Strawberry Pancake: My Valentine’s Day baby. Pancakes smells of roses, and she’s 100% that toddler who will wear princess heels and a crown in Target. Pancake likes to sit with me when I play fashion games or really anything that requires a sense of style. She will get sad if she doesn’t get to pick out my jewelry for the day.

Custard: Another sweet shop girlie! Custard was traveling with Cheese Pudding and Smartie, doing bakery things before returning for the Mellow incident. Custard is like me and works a lot, both of us getting burnt out a bit. She’s a big fan of bubble baths as a form of relaxation. Do not let her loose in the candle isle, we won’t leave the store for at least another two hours.

And here are the Kuromis! Hope you enjoyed this post. As I run out of Sanrio groups, I may start introducing some of my other bears as well! Trust me, there’s a lot of little guys to get through, so I’m still unsure if I will do it. Let me know if y’all have any opinions!

Part Three

Here are my Cinna Sanrio babies. Here we can get into a little bit of lore, of course going from left to right.

Minty: Minty is my Christmas/Holiday cinna. She’s cute, but very much a fighter. She’s closest to her sister Waffles, but also fights with her the most. She’s one of the most competitive of this group, in every game that she plays. Be careful though, she’s a hard hitter.

Smartie: Smartie is part of the sweets collection, and as such, he was pastry chef over seas… until he heard Mellow got sent to prison. Smartie packed up fast to run and help his sibling get out of prison… then go find Mellow in a face mask, relaxing at home. Yeah, Smartie was mad as heck. He’s since moved his business over here, and refuses to let Mellow out of his sight, or his sisters Minty and Waffles…

Churro Beans: Churro came to the family after Mellow got out of prison. She has so many questions about what happened and why, but never gets any answers. Churro prides herself on being a party girl (she was named after my jackbox username). Churro always has a deck of cards or some sort of game console on her. She cannot beat Minty in Mario Kart yet, but she’s getting better every day.

Mellow: The child of the hour. Mellow got his name because originally, he had a brown patch on his foot, being one of the other bears I saved from being damaged. Unfortunately, this somewhat gave him a fascination with fire. Candles, lighters, even the grill, Mellow just likes fire. It was part of why they were sent to prison. Mellow is still laying low, most days she stays home and watches YouTube… with Smartie not far away. They have a big soft spot for Waffles and Minty, because Mellow was there when I purchased and made each of them.

York: York is the mini, and has no idea what’s going on. Unlike Butter or Churro Beans, York does not concern himself with family drama. She’s content to sip on a 7Up while playing on her tablet. She needs to get off of my pc though, she set my language to Greek and I almost couldn’t change it back.

Butter: My custom baby. Butter, unlike Churro, isn’t as insistent on knowing what’s going with Mellow, mostly because he recognizes that some things should not be talked about. Butter has been baking while Smartie has been home, and so far, his favorite thing to make are pretzels. He makes good ones too.

Nacho: Nacho just barely got home after hearing about the Mellow incident. Nacho took his time getting back, mostly because he knew one way or another, Mellow would get themselves out of their situation. Nacho’s been keeping Smartie’s paranoia in check, also being a responsible brother. He’s putting Minty and Waffles’ high energy and more vicious tendencies into helping him make Halloween decorations.

Waffles: My Halloween girly. Of course she loves horror. Her favorite TV shows are Halloween Baking Championship and anything true crime. Waffles is the bossy one between her and Minty, she’s currently in time out for spilling soda on one of my sketchbooks (it’s fine. It was an accident, but she does need to watch where she flips her ears).
