I can’t stop eating, I hate myself

Don’t pretend to be happy when you’re not, because when you do, you’re lying to others, and most importantly, yourself. believe me, i’ve done it. when people believe you, they don’t know how you actually feel about something, and that makes a bigger difference than you actually think. you may believe what you’re saying will make you feel better, but honestly, you’re not helping yourself get over what’s making you unhappy in the first place. everyone has their days, so let someone make you smile for a change.

Do not forget about the time you used to wake up and pour yourself a giant bowl of cereal with regular milk and an extra spoon or two of sugar. Do not forget about the excitement you felt when your mom baked cinnamon rolls on special Sunday mornings. And do not forget that your only goal was to beat your siblings to the biggest one with the most cream cheese frosting.  Do not forget about going to a sleepover at your best friend’s house and secretly making cookie dough at 2am to eat while her parents were sleeping. Do not forget pizza and ice cream and cake at birthday parties. Do not forget that you used to be able to feel full.  Do not forget the time that food was a taste, not a number. Do not forget the time when there was no such thing as minimums and maximums. Do not forget what it is like to live in normalcy; you do not need to make it complicated because there is no measurement or formula to living.

I missed you today, so much that it hurt.

I’m angry that I live in a world where a man who picks food for a living can’t afford to feed his family.
