The Janinge chairs by Form Us With Love are made for use in residential, commercial and educational spaces. The designs feature thin back and seat elements that are gently curved to accommodate the contours of the body, while legs positioned at each of the four corners are rounded and splay outward slightly from the seat.

World-renowned Australian-born industrial designer, Marc Newson, has designed a tea service in sterling silver, his first collaboration with Georg Jensen. Bearing the familial qualities of a reductive sculptural approach, which is realized through the craftsmanship of the Silversmithy, the service is comprised of 5 pieces: teapot, coffee pot, creamer, sugar bowl, and tray.

Each Tyndall Vessel is original with its own texture and veining pattern. Over time each vessel will develop a unique patina intensifying the character of each piece

PEN is a simple usb memory stick. It feels at home on a desk, in a pocket or in a pencil box. It is big enough not to be lost and comes in 11 colors so it can be used to organize data: red for pictures, blue for music, etc. Produced since 2013 by Hong Kong brand Praxis, it can be printed with custom graphics.

Uniform Wares exists to create watches that embody character and distinction through intelligent design, not branding. The collection is the result of our meticulous design and development underpinned by the decades of manufacturing expertise provided by each of our collaborating factories. In 2009, our founders Patrick Bek and Oliver Fowles set out with an ambitious objective; to create an alternative to the ubiquity of over-embellished statement watches. The result was a disruptive new breed of minimal timepieces that made their indelible mark on the quartz watch industry.

Studio Dessuant Bone presents ‘Fasted’ a family of tableware fasted of their functions. We have created a set of non functional tableware and focused on their representation, producing a drawing in volume made of blue metal wire. This dinner scene is framed by a brushed brass circle. ‘Fasted’ questions the links between objects surrounding us and their representation

diiis, a design studio based in Basel, was founded by Susanne Roser and Martina Staub in 2014. In their work the designer-duo targets a balance within functionality, simplicity and aesthetics. The objects speak for themselves and display a visible love for detail. In the end the products are to become a personal, favorite item thanks to their independence and well-chosen materials.

The simple geometric forms remind of pre-cast concrete components used in infrastructure construction (concrete pipes and culverts). This industrial reference is however challenged by the concrete elements downscaled to a human proportion, with section thickness reduced to the structural minimum. The forms are not continuous. In contradiction to the material’s best known properties the cantilevered plane creates a subtle tension, expressed as a delicate but deliberate cut. Brushed brass plate completes the geometric forms, with the smooth homogeneous surface juxtaposed against the irregular cast concrete surface.

As its name suggests, the Shelltwo chair, by multi-disciplinary studio VW+BS, was developed by analyzing how natural organisms- like seashells or trees- build their structures layer by layer. Symmetrical and comfortable, the chair’s ergonomic seat is created using multiple 4mm wire rods, which then merge to follow its circular rim. Minimal, straightforward and lightweight, it can be used as an indoor or outdoor seat. An upholstered version as well as a barstool will launch later in 2013.

In a time when the single person is becoming more and more distanced from where things come from, how they are made, what they are made of and where they inevitably end up, it becomes increasingly harder to see the consequences of our lifestyles and choices. We depend on fossil fuel driven transportation systems, monocultural large-scale farming and non renewable, toxic energy sources. Our economies thrive on productivity and consumption and we live like there’s no tomorrow. The Tomorrow Collective is about exploring ways of enabling us to live a sustainable life in the future. Inspired by past knowledge of how to grow, make and be, the project presents concepts for modern tools and systems that can be used in a cyclic sense, within private homes or to share in smaller communities

This set of table trays and candle holders play with the abstraction of scale. They can be perceived as architectural elements that interact with each other. Made from perforated metal and reflective glass, they become architecture and together they form an abstract cityscape.

Elina Ulvio is an award-winning designer based in Helsinki, Finland. In 2013 she won the main prize at Habitare Design Competition. She is studying a Master's Degree in Product Design at the Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture. Her design history is in the architectural field, studying at the Department of Architecture and working in architectural offices.
