sometimes when i'm bored on my way home from school i look at the people around me and wonder if they're living a life they actually want. is the college student next to me pursuing their course out of passion or out of need? does that lady love her job or is she only doing it to raise the child next to her? has that boy ever experienced heartbreak? which of these people are actually satisfied with their lives? what kind of dreams did they have to give up to be sitting here? how many of them are alive and not just surviving? and then i remember the saying that our existence is ultimately insignificant in the grand scheme of things. even so, it's still crazy to think about the fact that all of us---despite being nothing but insignificant specks of dust in the universe, once held a story.

bitch this is all you’re gonna get. this life, this face, this body. you better not ‘maybe in another universe’ your way out of everything. sit your ass down and face this. go make tea and have a picnic and read a goddamn book. kiss your loved ones, send that damn text, and hug your siblings. this is all you’re gonna get.
you’d be surprised how many people appreciate your existence. the people you’re closest to, the people you’ve given a passing compliment or smile, the people you’ve helped out just a little here and there. you’re appreciated even if it’s not said out loud.

There'sa terrifying feeling when you start falling for someone, like a disaster waiting to unfold. Every moment feels fragile, balanced between hope and fear. You're excited, yet bracing for heartbreak, unsure if this connection will bloom or crumble. But even with the uncertainty, you can't help but lean in a little closer, drawn to the possibility of something real,

Remember to take care of yourself. Sometimes you forgot because you were too busy taking care of other people. Remember that you are important too
i suppose i love this life, in spite of my clenched fist.

I wish people would normalize being lost in life and just not knowing anything. not knowing what you’re passionate about, where you want to live, what you want to do, where you want to go— or what lies next. as a society, we normalized going to school, finding a passion, getting a job, finding a partner, getting married, having kids, working hard to earn an honest living. but what about when shit just doesn’t go that way? you really just don’t know. and what’s even worse is, you don’t know why you don’t know or even where to start so you feel alone. you feel as though you’re a disappointment to your family. as if you failed in life. but you haven’t, it’s okay, to not know. to be lost. you have your whole life ahead of you to figure things out. patience is a virtue. there is no time limit on life. you don’t need to rush. don’t allow society to fixate the narrative of having all your shit together at a certain age. it isn’t realistic for most. being lost is so much more normal than we think. and i just wish people would be more transparent about it.
