when I say I listen to this song minimum once a day, I mean it.

undoubtedly, my favourite lyric is: But I knew you'd linger like a tattoo kiss, I knew you'd haunt all of my what-ifs, the smell of smoke would hang around this long, cause I knew everything when I was young. I knew I'd curse you for the longest time, chasing shadows in the grocery line.

I LOVE the way she expresses her feelings for Joe in this song but this line is so profound, like she loves him so much she’d never go to the places they were in love if she lost him. That’s true love and true heartbreak.

This means so much to me. As someone who struggles to keep their head above water I’m constantly saying that all I can do is try, all I can do is push away my natural instinct to give up and just TRY. She really got me with this song, it’s a true masterpiece.
