Honestly I think the only thing that's preventing Ralsei from transitioning is that nobody has mentioned "you can just be a girl if you'd prefer to" at her in the span of the five days that she's been experiencing the concept of having agency
i feel like it's kinda rude to use post-transition pronouns for someone who hasn't even realized yet that what they want is to transition
the egg and the closet are two different concepts
to be in the closet is to not be "out", not be "known" as what you are. much ink has been spilled about how the closet isn't really a straight line, you can be out to some people and closeted elsewhere, out online but closeted to everyone in real life.
the egg is a state of unknowing. you do not know you are transfeminine. you might be drawn to femininity, you might know this consciously and seek it out or even publicly express femininity, but if you either do not know your own transfemininity or are in deep denial about it, you're in the egg.
knowledge cracks the egg. if you're outright searching for reasons to transition or justifications for your own transgenderness the egg is cracked. if you've admitted to yourself your own transfemininity the egg is cracked. this is usually still a volatile experience, there might be some questioning or retreating back into the shell, some moments feel stronger than others, but you can't uncrack the egg.
hi. can a post be about women for 10 seconds? i think can trans men handle reading a post that centers women and understand that the knowledge could also be applicable for them
lesbian scifi is so easy. here’s a woman in cargo pants and a tank top on a spaceship. are you with me
maybe it’s not even cargo pants. maybe it’s coveralls rolled to + tied around the waist. maybe she even has fuckoff boots
Y'all have gotta tackle your inability to see trans women as victims in a situation
Any trans woman caught in A Situation is guilty of perpetuating it instead of being a victim of the circumstances that led her to that point
If this is about a specific person, it's about Laverne Cox (with racism also being a HUGE component for her) being accused of "forgiving" or "endorsing" a MAGA man she used to date, as opposed to a victim of the same political coverups that men are using to sleep with women across the country right now. Any cis girl that's been on The Apps has a story about dating a conservative that hid their politics at first, and oftentimes those stories end with them realizing they're in too deep.
Lowkey also about Contrapoints but that's more generic dogpiling on a trans woman as opposed to this specific phenomena.
But it's also about the insidious mentality that trans women perpetuate beauty standards, that we perpetuate infighting instead of being the victims of it, the way we're blamed for violence against us in dating for not disclosing that we're trans too late or too early.
It's endogenous to the way people think, even in the queer community.
I also think there's something interesting in how much recognition the line of "trans women attracted to women are predators to cis lesbians" is consciously recognized as a transphobic statement, as it should.
However, I see this mentality just as, if not more, often used by cis men to claim that trans women are sexually assaulting them if they don't disclose their transness at the exact perfect socially acceptable moment. And this mentality is generally NOT viewed as transphobic.

fuuuuuuck💔💔💔
many small purchases add up to a large amount of money
"Making a better burger is literally so simple, I don't know why McDonald's doesn't do it this way. First we're going to begin by craft dry-aging this A5 wagyu beef with the sho-shu-ryuba technique that I learned at a restaurant you're only allowed to work at if your parents are bluelinked on wikipedia..."
This post continues to occasionally strike a nerve in the trust fund baby influencer fandom.
such a good reaction image
