For everyone with mental and physical stuff that they have to take medication for! I’m both mentally and chronically ill and take a LOT of meds each day. There’s so much negativity about magic and meds, so let’s find a way to incorporate both into your life! <3

Pill bottles:

Charge the bottles (while empty), the bowl you place your dose in, or your pill organizer in the sun or moon

Decorate them to look more witchy! Don’t cover up important labels. [X]

Draw sigils on the bottom to help minimize side effects and so you don’t forget a dose!

Use empty bottles for anything witchy (spell bottles, herb storage, etc.) [X]

Place crystals or herbs around/on the bottle

Use color correspondences - doodle on the lid or bottom

Meds:

Keep in cool pill boxes

Whisper an enchantment or blessing over them for desired effects (easy to swallow, less side effects, doing their job, etc.)

Think or say an affirmation with each one (I say so many affirmations a day!)

Take with (drinking safe) moon water or infused water.

Also use a cool cup, could be decorated, covered in sigils, using color correspondences, and more!

Coat your pills with honey before taking them to sweeten up your life (especially helpful for the gross tasting/fast dissolving meds)

IV treatments and injections (no needle mentions):

Listen to witchy music

Draw healing/soothing sigils

Keep crystals in your pocket or bag

Bring infused water with you (if using herbs, check for interactions)

Bring a spell bottle/sachet to your treatment for good vibes, quick healing, minimal pain, and the like.

Tips for taking meds

Here is a simple spell I thought I’d share for attracting like-minded people and luring towards yourself more genuine friends/friendships.

Quick Tip: A cup of Chamomile or Mint tea would be quite nice to start, finish or to drink throughout this spell, as chamomile is good for abundance and mint attracts prosperity.

Ingredients:

Basil  - crushed, powdered, plain, whatever! Rose or Clear Quartz (alternative = silver coin) Vanilla Essence or Oil Lavender -  sprigs or powdered, doesn’t matter. A Candle  - white is great. so is orange or brown. A Pen  -  green, orange or red would be best. An Envelope A Piece of Paper

Method:

1. Keep the quartz in your possession throughout the spell - in a pocket or next to the candle is fine.

2. Dab the vanilla essence in the four corners of your piece of paper.

3. Draw 3 circles/suns on the piece of paper with your pen, interlocking with each other like in this picture:

– write your full name in the middle section outlined here in red. 4. If you want, you can write on the other side of the paper the qualities you want the people you attract to have. A similar sense of humour, loyalty, any particular appreciations/hobbies etc.

5. Fold up the piece of paper and put it in an envelope along with the basil and lavender.

6. Pass the envelope through the flame of the candle as many times as you wish (if in a circular manner, aim it to be clockwise) and repeat this mantra:

I call upon my people Listen to my voice The blood that runs through all our veins Will now give us no choice

Now is the time For us to be bound To attract like to like and within each other Our light shall be found

I call my kin Come to my side Let our minds intermingle Let our lives intertwine

– Repeat the last phrase as much as you like. 3 or 9 times would work quite well, but it’s up to you.

7. You may decide to burn the envelope - if this is what you choose, then wrap the ashes in a lettuce leaf and bury it in a flourishing garden or at the base of a big, old tree. If you do not want to burn the envelope, kiss it and bury it in your garden, close to your front door or at the roots of a large tree.

8. Keep the quartz on or around you when going to meet new people, or if you’re feeling in the mood to meet new people. If you don’t want to wear it on your person then keeping it in the bedroom or near the phone or computer should be fine as well.

I am often asked “Caretaker I want to get in to magic but I don’t know where to start. Any recommendations?“ and I am at a loss for an answer. Magic is about as unformalized as you can get, and due to the nature of the occult in general, attempting to find a good starting point is almost explicitly impossible. What follows is a jumble of broad generalizations that make up my best shot:

Part 1: A sense of humor

The world is magic. Everything from physical objects and people to ideas and dreams has some relationship with magic. Some things are chock full of it, some are made of it, some resist it, some produce it, some feed off it. At the end of the day, any magical practice will involve experimenting, reading, and learning firsthand how different things interact with magic. Our goal with these first steps is to figure out how you personally interact with magic.

For us humans, magic comes in three primary forms I call humors. To use an analogy, if magic itself is the idea of color these are the three primary colors. Almost any magical act will function on some blend of these three things. Most practitioners tend to either specialize in one humor, or sit comfortably in the middle between two, and the majority have at least modest ability with all three. The humors, the magic based on them, and the archetypes associated with them, are described below. See if one in particular stands out to you.

The Sorcerer - Will: Will magic is logical. Things like sigilcraft, occult geometry, runework, and most forms of magical artifice like enchantment, are all based on will. Traditionally, will magic has been the purview of secret societies, alchemists, and occult researchers. A will user manipulates the magic of the world through sheer focus, and often finds themselves drawn to the mathematical elements of magic. They are the person who spends long hours pouring over occult texts that seem to pull them in.

The Priest - Faith: Faith magic is social. Anything involving communication or interaction with a non-human entity or intelligence is generally faith magic. Most religious magic is based on faith, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be faith in a god, just faith in something besides yourself. This could be anything from the major god of an established religion, to a pagan god, to a local water spirit, to a ghost, to a demon. These are your priests, mediums, and spirit workers.

I understand that Faith is a loaded term here, but it was as close as I could get to the idea I was trying to express. It is literally for lack of a better term.

Understand that these are not hard-and-fast categories. They exist less as a distinct categories and more as a gradient. It would honestly be incorrect to describe any one spell or working as solely one humor. The same is true for practitioners themselves.

For example, most modern witches who fall almost entirely into the instinct category love their spirit and entity work, and a large portion of will users love their demonic summoning rituals, and it is entirely possible to land squarely in the middle of all three. This creates four additional subtypes.

Will / Instinct - The Augur: You spent hours calculating the precise position of the heavens on a specific day at a specific time, and the stars say: “One hop this time.” You cut open the entrails of a small bird, you spent hours tracing the patterns of the entrails, it says to invest in Apple stock.

Will / Faith - The Esotericist: A rare combination. You’ve got a thing for sacred geometry and binding things with chains inscribed with the name of your god. Only Allah is perfect. Spirals. The secret name of god. Apocryphal texts full of secret knowledge.

Faith / Instinct - The Summoner: One of the most common archetypes, and by far the most common hybrid. You’ve got a few witch bottles going. You saw something in your garden yesterday. You burn some incense. The faeries are back. You burn some tea candles. Apollo called you a slut. You burn some tea candles. The local gossip spirits aren’t talking to you today. You are out of tea candles.

You can actually achieve the above sense of claustrophobic squirming by simply filling it with dirt! Just layer it up over the doll as much as the tin will tolerate while still closing!

as you go along your path, you’ll find there are many tools used in witchcraft, and they all have different purposes. not all witches use the same tools, some use unconventional ones, some don’t use any. here are some that are well known 

wand  -  for directing energy in rituals and spells. represents energy, power, and fertility, used as both air and fire element. this can be anything, from a stick, to a pencil, to a spoon.

broom / besom  -  air element, for cleansing negative energy out of a space, or to clear the way for a different type of energy. there are many different ways to make a besom, or any old broom will do

chalice  -  for a mixture that does not need heat applied, for offerings of drinks, or a spell you intend to drink. it’s a water element that can be any type of cup.

crystals  -  earth elementals, often used for conducting and charging and storing specific types of energy. sometimes the shape can influence how the energy is used 

candles  -  fire elements good for color magic, also good for applying a fire element. can be carved, anointed with oils or herbs. they come in a variety of shapes: tea lights, votive, pillar, taper and jar candles. some scented candles can be used instead of incense

cauldron  -  water elements for mixing, cooking, and burning things. heat resistant. does not need to be the typical idea of a cauldron, it can be any fire/heatproof pot or kettle.

athame  -  though often characterized as a “black blade”, and an athame can be any knife you set aside for cutting up plants, or harvesting herbs. like a wand, it can be used in rituals to direct energy in a more hostile manner. considered a fire element

bell - earth element, for cleansing and clearing out, and bringing new energies in, very similar to a broom. for calling and dispelling spirits

A spell to help gain compliments from others. Note: it doesn’t not force others to give you compliments, this is a spell to encourage them to vocalize any compliments they may have.

Requested by @lovepayal  Since the sigil requested was to block the 3 different malicious spell types/levels I pulled out the big guns for this one. I made 3 separate sigils, one for each malicious spell type, and combined them into one like so.

“Interpreting the last card does not mean you are done. You have ten more things to do before the reading is through.”

1. Count the major arcana.

The more there are, the stronger the reading’s predictions will impact the querent’s life. If there are none or just one, almost none of it will matter in the long run.

2. Note the sequence of the major arcana.

If the querent is asking about someone, and the major arcana are between 0 and 16, that person is not meant to stay in their life. If the question is about a dream or an opportunity, and the cards fall between 17 and 21, it will manifest completely.

3. Count the cards from each suit.

The presence of all suits predicts a balanced outcome. More Wands means strong passion. More Swords means anxiety or manipulation. More Cups means the heart is running the show. More Pentacles means wealth is about to diminish or grow.

4. Mind the aces and the tens.

Two or more aces means the situation is only just beginning. Two or more tens means it is now coming to a good or bad ending.

5. Note the multiples between two and nine.

Twos mean clever thinking is of paramount importance. Threes speak of infidelity or the need for cooperation. Fours guarantee stability, just as sixes do harmony. Fives and sevens spell difficult challenges, but eights and nines promise that the labor is almost over.

6. Regard the ruling colors.

A dominant black predicts burdens and hindrances. Red and yellow combined ensure passion, clarity and manifestation. Blue and white together advise that the solution can be found through spirituality and intuition.

7. Count the court cards.

Nine times out of ten, court cards are people, not influences. They are doing the manipulation or they need to be manipulated.

8. Notice the suits of the courts.

Wands and Swords are friendly. So are Cups and Pentacles. Any other combination spells rivalry and obstacles.

9. Watch where the cards are facing.

“Is the woman in The World looking at The Tower? A tragedy has to occur before success can take over. Is the King of Cups facing away from his Queen? Their relationship is suffering. His love for her has begun fading.”

10. Look at the bottom of the deck.

Did you know, that you can make an AWESOME journal for your adventures ALL ON YOUR OWN from a cereal box and paper/scraps that you likely have at home/can get from friends or family/you may find around your environment?

They’re called Junk Journals and they’re my entire life.

Im gonna do my best to walk you through how to make one! First, get you a mini cereal box! I use boxes from those cool multipacks of cereal that you can find at Walmart!

And then cut it out so it looks like this! (I already had one cut, so I’m gonna use that)

That “nutrition facts” side is gone become your spine!

Next, find some paper to use to decorate your cover! I was lucky enough to be gifted a bunch of scrapbooking paper, so I’m gonna use that, but you can also use newspaper, paper from books/magazines, junk mail, napkins, paper towels (excellent texture), etc!

Go ahead and glue that paper to your box (to cover the cereal logo) and cut it out! It’ll look like this;

Next you need to find your pages! Again these can be anything! Junk mail, envelopes, receipts, food wrappers, magazine/book pages, scrapbook paper, computer paper, construction paper, ANYTHING. Just grab a whole bunch!

You’re gonna want to fold them in half and cut them to the size of one of the covers of your box, and layer other pages inside of it to make your signatures, like this!

Each signature should be about 7-10 pages. You don’t want them too thick, otherwise the inner pages start sticking out when folded in half. You’re gonna have a LOT of these signatures, as you wanna fill the area in the spine as best as possible. For this one I’m using 7 page signatures. Here’s a pic to show just how much paper you’ll need

Each of these signatures are 7 pages, 6 signatures have only filled about half of the spine, so I’ll need probably 6 more.

Next you gotta figure out how you want them in your journal. Personally, I like to sew them into the spine, but you can also keep them in the spine with rubber bands, so you can have removable pages! (Be weary that rubber bands may break over time! So you may want to always keep extra bands near it to replace in case one snaps. This is why I prefer sewing them in) I find it best to look up on YouTube how to sew in signatures, just because having someone walk you through it where you can see what they’re doing is easiest. If you can’t access YouTube, there’s plenty of text tutorials on how to sew in signatures online, or you can message me! I’m not gonna go too into detail, but here’s the jist;

Okay so I’m a forgetful gob and I hecken forgot to take pictures as I was going along kahshshshsh

But essentially, I sewed in the pattern similar to the one I drew. The dots are where the needle goes all the way through to the back. I also like to use rubber band as an extra mode of support but you can do one or the other. I also like both cuz I can tuck stuff in em between the pages. Since I didn’t take more pictures; I’d really recommend looking up a how-to on YouTube or w/e if my badly drawn diagram isn’t clear enough (heh sorry about that)

Next, I glue fabric to the spine. It spruces it up quite a lot and holds the rubber bands in place, plus it give more support to the spine since there’s gonna be a lot of strain on it.

Here’s the journal with the fabric on the spine, I decided to go ahead and glue the excess to the rest of the cover too, cuz I liked how it looked ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

DECORATE the pages! I haven’t decorated this one yet, but here’s some pages I have completed!

Have fun with it! Make tuck spots and hideaways. Add folders and envelopes and make tags and things that dangle. Decorate the covers and the spine and make it your own! Add things as you find them! Anything! Even candy wrappers! This is really the ultimate goblin journal!
