Summary: How do you ask someone to tickle you? Charlie Morningstar had been asking herself this question for days now, but just when she was about to ask Vaggie, the latter disappeared. Fortunately, her father and a certain radio demon were still around, but naturally, these two had to turn everything into a fightâas always. A literal tickle fight that goes quite different than the princess imagined. (Lee: Charlie, Lers: Alastor and Lucifer)

âHey, Short King, have you seen Charlie at all today?â Angel Dust asked, who was spending his time in the hotel lobby with a drink in his hand, as he did so often, when the King of Hell suddenly walked into the room.
Judging by his oversized, duck-printed sweater, it was clear that he had either been sleeping until just now or had completely lost track of both time and his appearance while crafting a new rubber duck.Â
âCharlie? Iâm her fatherâof course Iâve -âŠwait a minute, actually, I havenât!â Lucifer realized, his voice growing louder with every word.Â
âI told you, somethingâs been off with her since yesterday. She dodges me when I just want to hug her, sheâs been giggling weirdly, she wonât come out of her room anymore, and when you try to have a conversation with her, it almost seems like sheâs trying to provoke you with every word! Itâs really strangeâI just canât figure it out,â muttered the spider demon, taking a sip of the cocktail in his hand.Â
For a moment, silence reigned in the large lobby, except for the distant sound of Niffty, who had been running through the hotel since earlier that morning, killing bugs.Â
âWhat luck that I was just on my way to check on her,â a static-filled, slightly muffled voice suddenly rang out from somewhere in the shadows.Â
âThe bellhop?â Lucifer asked, raising an eyebrow in disbelief. He hated that this stupid radio demon could never keep his nose out of other peopleâs business!
âHost,â Alastor corrected him immediately, materializing out of a shadow behind him.Â
âWhat do you want, bellhop?â
Rolling his eyes, Alastor skillfully ignored the now all-too-familiar nickname and turned back to the king with a grin: âNothing much, Lu! I just want to check on Charlieâsomething her own father hasnât been able to do so far.â
âAs the good father that I am, I was obviously on my way to do just that!â the former angel defended himself, crossing his arms over his chest in a near pout.
If that red, wandering loudspeaker dared to imply even once more that he was a bad father, heâd probably have toâ
His racing thoughts were interrupted when Alastor, with a âWeâll see whoâs there faster,â turned back into a shadow and vanished.
âOh yeah, weâll see,â Lucifer grinned, spreading two of his six wings and taking flight.Â
âWhatâs wrong with all of you today?â Angel exclaimed, but no one heard him anymore.Â
âI guess Iâm too sober for all this.â With a sigh, he walked toward the bar to get another drink.Â
Meanwhile, Lucifer had reached the door to his daughterâs room with ease, but unfortunately, so had a certain radio demon at exactly the same time.Â
The demon was just reaching for the doorknob when Lucifer quickly grabbed his wrist.Â
âYou do know itâs extremely rude to barge in without warning, donât you, Bambi? Knocking is the rule,â he scolded the other with a smirk and knocked.Â
âAH!â With a startled squeal, Charlie fell out of her bed, where she had spent the entire day alone. Vaggie had been gone since the early morning hours, training with her spear. After their joint battle against Adam and the other angels, sheâd sworn to protect Charlie better next time, and since then sheâd been practicing her fighting techniques even more diligently than before. Not that it bothered Charlie much usuallyâŠit just bothered her today.
Ever since she woke up, sheâd been feeling strange. Not sad or exhaustedâquite the opposite, actually. It seemed as if more joy and energy than ever before had built up inside her, and that was exactly what was making her feel all tingly and excited.Â
Normally, a good old-fashioned tickle attack from Vaggie worked wonders for something like this, but unfortunately, Vaggie just wasnât there. So the princess had decided to do the easiest thing for her: ignore that strange feeling and wait it out in her room until it would go away.Â
After all, sheâd already managed to confuse Angel, and sheâd rather spare her other friends that. But of course, her father had to throw a wrench in her plans when he cheerfully knocked on her door.Â
What she hadnât expected, though, until she opened the door, was to see her father accompanied by his self-proclaimed rival. Normally, he and Alastor couldnât stand each other, so why were they both standing there at her door now?
âDad? Alastor?â she asked, smiling politely, though confused.Â
âCharlie! Char-Char, there you are. Your spider friend said you were acting a little⊠different than usual today, so I, as your father who knows and loves you, thought: âThat canât possibly be true,â and thatâs why Iâm here now to check on you! Oh, and Bambiâs here, too.â
Charlie had a hard time keeping up with how fast her father was rattling off his words, but when he was finally done explaining, she giggled with amusement.Â
âThatâs really sweet of youâŠboth of you! But Iâm doing just fine! Maybe even better than fine,â the princess affirmed with a smile, even though inside she could have crushed Angel to death in a tight bear hug while scolding him for talking about her behaviour with her dad!
How dare he just betray her like that, even if it was unintentional?!
âNonsense, my dear. Somethingâs up, and youâd better tell me instead of him,â Alastor interjected, shooting the king an obviously hostile sideways glance.Â
âCome on, Charlie, you wouldnât really rather talk to the bellhop than to your favorite daddy, would you?â Lucifer retorted, wrapping his arms protectively around his daughterâwhich looked quite funny given their striking difference in height.Â
But before Charlie could let herself go and relax, as she always did, she suddenly jerked so violently youâd think sheâd been electrocuted. The giggle that escaped her throat, however, suggested otherwise.Â
How much she just wanted to play around with someone. Or maybe a big hug that included some tickling? She could hardly imagine anything more fun right now.Â
âWhat in the name of all sinful hell was that?â the ex-angel asked, eyeing his daughter in surprise. Normally, she never turned down hugs, in fact, she was practically a cuddle monster. But Angel Dust did warn him about Charlieâs strange behaviorâŠ
âIt sounded like a giggle to me,â the radio demon commented dryly, taking a step closer to the scene.Â
âAs if I hadnât heard that myself, Mr. Know-It-All,â Lucifer replied sarcastically, continuing to look at Charlie questioningly.Â
âWell, Charlie, what could possibly be so funny about a tiny little hug, hmm?â asked Alastor, in a tone that almost suggested he already knew the answer.
âUm⊠nothing⊠at all?â the princess lied hastily, smiling innocently.Â
âNothing? Ohoho, how amusing but untrue. And now, the truth,â Alastor purred with his characteristic grin. He knew full well what a terrible liar Charlie could be and also how much she hated deceiving her friends and family. So this should be easy.Â
âThe truth is⊠that Iâm just so happy to see you both!â the princess exclaimed, hoping theyâd just leave her alone. As much as she liked them, the harder it was to tell them that all she wanted today was to be tickled. It felt like such a weird thing to want afterall.
âCome on, Charlie, I know you. When youâre happy to see someone, you usually hug them first. And you donât giggle so creepily like youâve sampled every single alcoholic drink at the bar. You havenât, have you?â
âItâs okay, Charlie.â
âYou know, to be honest, this mystery is already boring me, which probably means that he and I are going to leave now!â Alastor suddenly announced loudly and out of nowhere, which even made Lucifer listen up in surprise.Â
âHey, since when is it a bellhopâs job to tell me when itâs time to leave?!â protested the shorter one, his red pupils glowing even more fiercely than usual.
It didnât occur to him, of course, that the radio demon might have a plan he was trying to carry out.Â
Shaking his head, Alastor grabbed the kingâs wrist and indifferently dragged him behind him towards the door. Grinning, he waved at Charlie one last time until she abruptly stopped him.Â
She knew that if the two of them left now, sheâd never get what she actually wanted. At the same time, it was somehow still so incredibly embarrassing to her, and she seriously considered just continuing to stay silent.Â
But Vaggie always reminded her that it wasnât a good idea to hide something that would make her happy. After all, it was just ticklingânothing bad. Her father would understand. With Alastor, however, she wasnât so sure.
âWait! I⊠actually wanted to say something else,â the princess said softly, sitting down on her neatly made bed, where Lucifer, of course, took a seat right next to her.Â
âOh? Iâm all ears,â Alastor grinned, immediately turning on his heel and rubbing his hands together excitedly. This could be entertaining.Â
âWell⊠ever since I woke up this morning⊠without Vaggie⊠I just kept thinking how funny it would be⊠today⊠to be tickled?â Charlie began her explanation hesitantly, squeezing her eyelids shut so tightly it looked like saying the word alone was painful.
Her cheeks were even pinker than usual, and suddenly the floor seemed much more interesting than her fatherâs or the demonâs eyes.
Fortunately, the awkward silence that followed didnât last long, as her father suddenly pulled her into a tight hug, then ruffled her hair with a broad smile.
âOh my golly! My daughter wants to be tickled! By me, her father! Just family stuff! Bonding!â
âIs that all? I was expecting something significantly⊠more exciting,â Alastor sighed, his voice even losing its static radio effect for a brief second.Â
Embarrassed, the princess turned her head away.Â
âStill, Iâd of course be more than happy toââŠâ
Without finishing his sentence, the radio demon let a red claw slide down Charlieâs side as he grinned and waited for her reaction, his deer ears pricked up.
Giggling, the princess pushed his hand away from her, albeit unintentionally.Â
âOh myâlooks like someone here is a little ticklish,â Alastor grinned, repeating the motion, when Lucifer suddenly wrapped his arm around his wrist and pushed the radio hostâs hands away from his daughter.
How dare this constantly grinning bellhop play with his daughter? To even tickle her! That was the job of a loving, funny father like himself, not some annoying walking loudspeaker!
âI think your job here is done, red guy, â the king huffed, and started poking Charlieâs sides repeatedly.
âDad! That tickles!â Charlie squealed, giggling as she tried to dodge her fatherâs tickling fingers but to no avail. Alastor was still watching the scene with an amused grin.
âJust the way you wanted it, right?â Lucifer teased, gently running his fingers up and down Charlieâs sides to hear more of those precious giggles. It happened faster than his previous tickles and made Charlie squeal loudly again before she giggled even louder than before.
âOh, Iâm such a good father,â the former angel sighed with a smile and an unmistakable hint of pride in his voice. Charlieâs giggles were music to his ears.
It felt fantastic to hear that his daughter seemed to be having just as much fun as he was, and that the two of them could finally tease each other again after such a long time, something that had been rather rare since Charlieâs childhood.
But of course, this moment was a thorn in Alastorâs side. Not because he didnât want Charlie to be happyânot at allâbut solely because Lucifer really seemed to believe he could tell Alastor what to do and what not to do!
And now that the King didnât want Alastor to tickle his daughter, the radio demon was itching to do just that, just to get on Luciferâs nerves.Â
Without further hesitation, he pressed his thumbs into the princessâs hipbones; she let out a shriek of laughter and took a step back from the two.
âHey! What did I just tell you, Bambi!â Lucifer sighed exasperatedly and shot his opponent a sharp glance. Charlie, who had just recovered from her giggle fit, quickly stepped in: âLeave him alone, Dad. He just wants toâŠplay with us. In his own wayâŠright, Alastor?â
It was clear from her puppy-dog eyes and implied tone that this was more of a statement than a question. She didnât want her father to chase Alastor away again just because he couldnât stand the radio hostâs attitude.
Nodding, the radio host leaned forward and ran a claw across Charlieâs stomach. Once again, the princess burst into a high-pitched squeal.
âCome on, Charlie, this bellhop obviously has no idea how to do it right!â Lucifer grumbled, shooting Alastor a dismissive look.Â
To demonstrate how he thought one should properly tickle someone, the king swiftly wrapped his arms around Charlieâs waist and pulled her closer to him in a firm embrace.
Once she was literally sitting on his lap and out of reach of Alastorâs claws, he finally began to run his hand down Charlieâs ribs from top to bottom with precision and practiced movements.
âThahahatâs so mean!â the younger girl squealed helplessly, throwing her head back with a giggle, almost leaning against her fatherâs shoulder, who also noticed this with a smile.Â
Charlie was just too cute when, overcome by her sweet giggles, she didnât know what to do with her hands or her head. Behind those wide, round eyes was nothing but pure joy, and that thought warmed the heart of the otherwise rather sad ex-angel immensely.
âMean? Iâm not doing anything,â he teased with a laugh, moving his hands further upward toward Charlieâs armpits. Squealing, she pressed her arms tightly against her sides so as not to give her tormentor any opening.Â
Of course, Lucifer had seen this strategy in action hundreds of times before; Charlie had quick reflexes and an even stronger fighting spirit, no matter how much fun she was having at the moment. She was always a challenge.Â
However, he didnât have enough arms to hold his daughter in an embrace, pin her arms down, and tickle her all at the same time. He needed another solutionâone that was red and had deer ears.Â
âHey red guy, if you want to make yourself useful for once, come over here and hold Charlieâs arms just like this,â Lucifer ordered, holding Charlieâs arms demonstratively above her head.Â
âAnd why should I help you torture the Princess of Hell?â Alastor asked innocently, as if he hadnât just tried two minutes ago to turn it into a competition to see who could tickle her better.
Rolling his eyes, Lucifer muttered a few incomprehensible insults in Alastorâs direction.Â
âHow about a deal? Just a tiny little one?â the latter suggested with a grin mere seconds later.Â
âAnd what would this deal entail?â asked the king, raising an eyebrow skeptically. Every living being in the Pride Ring knew that you didnât just make deals with the Radio Demon if you planned to keep walking the walk of Hell for much longer.
âIâll hold her for 10 minutes, and after that, itâs your job. Thatâs only fair,â he suggested, looking back and forth expectantly between Lucifer, Charlie, and himself.Â
Deep down, he already knew the king would agree, and when he actually did, the grin on his face widened even more. As much as he despised Lucifer, teasing Charlie by tickling her was always amusing, and he could hardly contain his excitement.
Besides, heâd once again managed to meddle in a private moment for the Morningstar family, and he was all too aware of how much his presence here annoyed Lucifer.Â
But today, Lucifer seemed to be holding backâalbeit for Charlieâs sake.
âWe have a deal,â Lucifer smiled and shook hands with Alastor. Instantly, two of Alastorâs black, tentacle-like arms shot out from his back and gently wrapped themselves around Charlieâs wrists.Â
Just as carefully, he lifted her arms above her head and held them there gently but firmly. The princess pouted playfully, but didnât dare protest any further. After all, what was happening right now was essentially what sheâd asked for. Besides, hearing her father and the radio demon talk about her as if she werenât there had flustered her so bad that she now didnât know what to say at all.
âPerfect. Good job, Bambi,â Lucifer praised, digging his fingers into the skin of Charlieâs armpits. The princess considered herself lucky that she was still wearing her usual red jacket, because even with the slight protection, the sensation was unbearable.
Snorting, the princess tried to pull her arms down, but Alastorâs grip was as strong as steel. Still, Charlie wasnât really stressed. After all, she knew that if she really wanted her dad to stop, the two of them would notice. But her resistance at that moment consisted of nothing more than unconscious reflexes mixed with playful defiance.Â
âOh, my little duckling has such a sweet little giggle,â Lucifer remarked delightedly, using his thumbs to trace small circles in Charlieâs armpits and along the base of her ribs. At the same time, he found himself so caught up in the playful mood that he gently nuzzled his nose against Charlieâs neck, which earned him another surprised squeal. The bellhop would probably never be able to tickle Charlie this well! He was just the best!
âThatâs not even fair!â Charlie protested, shaking her head so violently that she almost felt dizzy. Her neck was one of those spots she hadnât even realized how ticklish it really was until now.Â
âNot fair? Well, maybe it would be if you werenât so ticklish. But I canât help that, can I?â the former angel teased with a laugh and continued undisturbed.
âDahahad! Stahahap teasing me!â laughed Charlie, who was obviously enjoying every second to the fullest.
âHmm, let me think about that⊠No!â
Laughing, Charlie instinctively tried to wriggle free or atleast free one of her arms, but Alastor seemed surprisingly eager to help her father and kept readjusting her position to keep her within perfect reach for Lucifer, with access to all her ticklish spots.
With every passing minute, the princessâs giggles grew higher-pitched, her muscles weaker, and her stomach and heart lighter from all the laughter. And even though she was having more fun than she had in a long time, she sighed with relief when her father finally gave her a break.
But only because 10 minutes had already passed and he had sworn to switch places with Alastor. The latter finally withdrew his tentacles and waited patiently instead, while Lucifer now took over the role of the holder, pinning Charlieâs arms behind her back instead of above her head.
âFinally, itâs my turn. Watch and learn,â Alastor announced, cracking his knuckles lightly to show off his sharp, red claws.
Grinning and without further warning, he pinched Charlieâs hipbone several times, just to give the princess a little taste of what was yet to come. Giggling, the princess hid her face in the crook of her neck to conceal her growing anticipation. She had already been giggly before so starting again was easier than holding back.
âDonât act like youâre any better at this than I am, because youâll probably never be,â Lucifer objected, already having to raise his voice to drown out Charlieâs renewed, panicked giggles.
Rolling his eyes, Alastor decided to let the jab slide and instead began spidering his claws up and down Charlieâs stomach.Â
Much to Charlieâs surprise, it didnât hurt at allâit didnât even sting. No, unfortunately, it was just super ticklish and much gentler than one would expect from well-sharpened claws like Alastorâs.
âLaugh, my dear. Laugh yourself silly,â the radio demon encouraged her with a grin, now crouching right in front of his victim so he could reach her stomach and hips even better.Â
âNo! AlâhahahaâŠ,â Charlie tried to protest weakly, but she couldnât get many words out amid her hysterical laughter.
âNo? No? How can you say something so rude when Iâm just trying to make you happy?â Alastor asked, not even bothering to improve his terrible acting.
âOh, come on, Bambi, nothing could make her happier than her good old dad here,â Lucifer interjected, gently stroking his daughterâs wrists, which he was still holding.
âHmm, Iâm sure a little tickle right here might,â the radio host declared, and began moving his hands a little higher up toward the princessâs waist.Â
She immediately tried to pull back, but of course her father, who still had to fullfil his side of the deal with Alastor, wouldnât let her get away that easily. Laughing, she tried to bring her knees up to somehow protect that spot, but her strength and fighting spirit had long since left her, so she could do nothing but sit there and laugh it up.
âAL! PLEASE stahap it!â Charlie pleaded as she felt the first laughing tear roll down her cheek. Her longing to be tickled had been more than fulfilled, and her sadness over Vaggieâs absence had even been forgotten for a brief moment.
âHmm⊠if you could just agree that Iâm better at tickling than Lu, there!,â the red demon grinned proudly and began absentmindedly running his fingers along Charlieâs ribs.
Nodding, she tried to take a deep breath through her giggles to comply with Alastorâs request immediately. Regardless of whether she agreed with that or not, at this point she would say anything to get him to stop.
Her father, however, didnât seem to like that at all: âSay that, and Iâll personally tickle you all over again,â he warned.
That was the moment Charlie realized she was now completely stuck between a rock and a hard place. No matter whose side she took, sheâd just end up getting tickled again. And anyway, both of them were pretty skilled but mean at it. She couldnât even honestly say who was better!
What kind of childish nonsense was this argument anyway?! First they were working together, and now they were competing again?
âCome on, Charlie⊠just a few tiny little words,â Alastor purred, slowly stroking Charlieâs sidesâteasingly but warningly.Â
âDonât listen to him, Charlie. My skills are much better,â Lucifer chuckled, using one hand to gently run his fingers down Charlieâs back.
âAh, Charlie, there you are! I just wanted to quicklyââ a high-pitched voice, all too familiar to Charlie, suddenly rang out from the hallway, and just seconds later, Angel Dust was standing in the doorway.
âOh my God, whatâs going on here? Actually, just tell me when weâve all had a drink, otherwise itâll be weird,â the spider demon commented with an unimpressed expression.
âOh, is someone volunteering to be next?â Alastor laughed, clearly delighted, and almost immediately let go of Charlie to stride purposefully towards Angel. Naturally, Angel quickly made a run for it, with Alastor hot on his heels, until only Lucifer and Charlie remained alone in the room.Â
Once theyâd both recovered from the surprise, they hugged each other immediately, and Lucifer couldnât take his loving gaze off her.Â
âThank you, Dad. I really needed that today,â Charlie admitted with a smile, returning her fatherâs gaze with equally tender eyes. Her cheeks were still slightly pink from laughing, and her voice was a little squeaky.Â
âYouâre welcome, my little apple. And remember, if you ever want or feel like you need something like this again, just ask me. Youâre my daughter, and I wouldnât judge you for it. Itâs totally adorable anyway,â Lucifer replied with a smile, lovingly running his fingers through Charlieâs blonde hair.
âThanks, Dad. I love you.â
âI love you too, Char-Char.â
Thanks for reading this! I hope you liked it <3
