spoilers for DAR, To Our Yesterday and WU's last update

all that I say here is, so far, canon and has been shown in main story and WU stories. however, i'm not in charge of anything and any kind of horrors might be thrown at us in the future, but right now, in present time, everything here has been said and explained in official material.

need to let this out or i'll explode but it's honestly distressing how people simply don't read things and state stuff like it hasn't been explained

people thinking zayne is ignoring mc in main story when in the last update she explained they're in contact, that she knows he's at the library, that shubai is also messaging her and she's the only one who knows his location

last WU update also proved this by having zayne answer greyson's call and also knocked down any doubt about him resigning. zayne didn't resign , he tried to but got a leave of absence instead, the staff at akso wonder when he'll be back or what happened to make him react the way he did, but the official excuse is that he's on a business trip

again: mc and zayne remain in contact and she's the only one who knows WHERE he is.

DAR ends on a cliffhanger with neither of them moving which somehow turned into a "zayne left her alone at the cemetery" when that NEVER happened.

"to our yesterday" literally starts with mc explaining what happened after that and she said he didn't have any of his "episodes", is at the library, shubai is with him, he's still ordering milk tea..

like, the way the narrative around zaynemc works is that he really wanted to keep his distance for her safety at the start of main story but he couldn't due to his love for her and by DAR they've gotten so close that he knit a scarf for her just because, is hugging her and initiating physical contact out of nowhere just because, is buying her a month's worth of desserts, is hinting at marriage, they're sleeping on the same bed while holding hands, she's the reason he dreams of dawnbreaker but she's also the only cure, like it's been hinted at in "medical rescue" and the foreseer myth, like it's been shown in GoA, that they heal each other, and he can only sleep well when he's with her.

when he lost control in DAR, he took her to akso, stayed by her side until her vitals were stable and because of his past trauma, he panicked, tried to resign, director didn't let him, gave him a leave of abscence and mc tracked him down just in time. she already knew about dawnbreaker and most of his secrets, what she didn't know was that he lost control of his evol when they were kids and hurt her and she also didn't know about the library. two things she's aware of at the start of "to our yesterday".

she also doesn't give a crap about him being the famous dawnbreaker, she's a lot more worried about him losing his medical license than she is that he's killing people, even if they're merciful kills. she's not afraid of him, and loves him so much she's begging him to kill her so he can rid himself of this nightmare once and for all and we know his answer to that is that actually hurting her would be the greatest regret of his life.

i know the horrors exist and there will probably be a lot more to come, but so far, zayne is NOT ignoring her nor is he hiding from her, she's literally the only one who knows where he is. he also shows up at the end of "to our yesterday" in a scene where he's killing a wanderer and thinking the errors of this world are getting harder to predict, meaning he's been trying to find a solution for the great eradication and more or less confirming the theory he's aware of his past as a deity (both MoF and GoA, Foreseer is a future that already happened and is bound to repeat itself unless they break out of this loop they're in), and that he's been reborn as a mortal, like the prophecy in GoA predicted.

i also can't stress this enough, but the way routes work in this game is not straightforward. mc isn't dating anyone in main story but she has deep, romantic moments with all lis so that you can "choose" your path and infold can keep the game running for years to come without taking away your "freedom" of choice, since it's a mobile otome game on a live service, unlike other otome games that are made for consoles and pc and already have endings, usually a good one and a bad one, and the story is complete.
