Marijuana seedling transfer made easy!
Are you looking to move your seedlings soon? It can be a scary and even DISASTROUS process if you aren’t going into it with a plan.
Yesterday I transferred 19 SEEDLINGS into their new home in my Nursery Tent! Here’s how I did the entire process in about 25 minutes!
You can follow these same steps whether you’re transplanting 1 seedling or 100!
First, I put down a large tarp and set about mixing together my soil and putting it into SmartPots.
For my soil, I’m using a 50/50 mix of FoxFarm Ocean Forest potting soil and Plant !t Super Coarse Perlite
After getting the soil mixed well I added it into 19 SmartPots. These things are great because they help your plants breathe, help water drain, and release heat!
After getting my SmartPots prepped, I poured about a half gallon of water into each one and let them sit about 10-15 minutes to drain off. This way my soil is nice and moist for the seedlings but will not drown them out.
The next really important step is adding in some extra juice for your seedlings. I like to dig out a small hole about an inch or two deep and add in a heaping spoonful of this great Mykos Root Enhancer!
After that, gently place your seedling into its new home, right on top of the Mykos. Then gently cover your seedling in soil. Try to build up a small “pyramid” shape of soil around the stem of your plant to help it support itself vertically. Just don’t bury it TOO DEEP!!
Do NOT Water Your Seedling Again After Transplanting!
Your soil is already nice and moist from the water you added earlier!
Finally, I moved my newly planted seedlings into their very own tent and started giving them a little light. I’ll also be trying to keep the temp up above at least 80 degrees.
I hope this post will help you with your next seedling transplant. Look out for an update on our new Nursery Tent in a day or two!
