After discussing with Virgil and Patton, I have found it may be... entertaining, to join in on this ask blog phenomenon.
I will assist in whichever way I can. I may not be the most qualified in areas of emotion, but I can assure you, if you're looking for a more logical outlook on a situation, I would be more than happy to give you advice, or lend an ear if you need.
To ensure this remains organized, I have the following tags:
#ask-logan: General submission questions.
#logical-advice: Answers given to clarify a situation; posts where I provide advice.
#ooc-post: Posts from Mod Blue.
#logical-reassurance: Answers given to help reassure or ground the asker.
#logan-posting: Answers regarding me, personally, whether about what coffee I'm drinking or what I think of a certain book; asks regarding the other sides.
#logan-facts: Discussion of interesting topics.
#slight-conflict: An RP tag for posts that imply or include fighting with other RP blogs. If you're here for a good time, block this tag.
Any trigger tags or content warnings will be included for blocking purposes as well.
Regulations on asks are below the readmore. I hope you all find this amicable, and I shall see you in the next one.

Hi! Call me Blue. I (the mod) use any pronouns. This is entirely for fun, so asks may be slightly delayed, due to life stuff.
Mod Blue is in CST! If I don't get to your ask in a timely matter, either I'm sleeping or I haven't been to my phone in quite a bit. I will be with you shortly.
Any interactions with other RP blogs are platonic. I am aromantic, and prefer to avoid direct ships. If you receive an ask from this blog, assume the connotation is platonic.
Please avoid asking me, directly or indirectly, about suicide or suicidal thoughts.
Please avoid directly asking me about self harm. Indirectly, such as asking me to walk you through dressing a small wound, is alright.
I reserve the right to delete an ask I am uncomfortable with. If I receive content I haven't declared uncomfortable, I will delete the ask and add it here as a preference.
I'm happy to help ground you, or give you a distraction or redirection, if you need--just ask.
I am sadly not a genius. However, I'm happy to do research into areas of questioning, if having someone new explain something to you will assist. I love explaining and researching, and I'm pursuing education, so reach out!
The characterization of this Logan may be less purely logical--I want to explore a bit more of the reassuring and calm side as well. So if you're looking for hugs, I can and will still provide them.
Feel free to ask about what Logan is doing, or how he's interacting with the other sides! Fun facts are a specialty of mine as well.
I believe that's it for now, so--asks are now open!

Virgil walks in but immediately walks out. He knows better than to walk into Logan's room without knocking. Especially if he's changing his shirt or something. "I'm so sorry! I'll come back later-!"
@ask-virgil-anxiety-side
"It's--Virgil, wait--" He stands from his desk, hands out, calm. "It's alright. Come in. Was there something you needed? I'd be happy to help."
Virgil's face is red. "U-um I j-just needed to tell you that Thomas needs his to-do list fixed. Right, that's what I needed!" He turns and walks out the door. "Sorry again!"
Logan, dear, would you want to go on another walk together? I have a couple things Iâd like to⌠discuss.
Itâs your job to pick the scenery this time, I canât do everything for you.

Janus. Hello. I... am quite busy at the moment, but...
[After a moment of thought, Logan steps outside of his room.]
I'd be happy to spare some time for your thoughts. Follow me?
[He leads Janus to the Imagination entrance, tapping the doorframe. He looks pensive and careful. Eventually, he nods, satisfied, and the entrance morphs into a thick, dark oak wood, entangled in vines.]
I hope this is comfortable. Let us walk?
[He motions towards the door, allowing Janus to enter first. It's an overdone cliche and he knows it, but he kind of wants to see how she reacts.]
[He snorts a bit at the chivalry comment, but nods regardless. With a flourish, he pushes open the door.]
Let's take a walk.
[Inside is a massive, lush forest. A squirrel scurries past their feet, drawing attention to a gnarled path in the center. It's a narrow opening, almost claustrophobic at spots, and it smells like nature and the thick scent of wild grass and flowers.]
Privacy is a rare commodity, but I believe this should suffice. No one can hear us here.
Ah. It's... well. My experiences are intrinsically linked with Thomas's, as are yours, so... this is my greatest recollection of the forest beside his grandparent's house, when he was very young. It is likely faulty in some ways, but Thomas saw it as a magical thing. I did my best to recreate it.
So. Shall we walk?
[He holds out an elbow, the picture of chivalry, in offering.]
--
[ooc: don't worry I've been crazy busy too but it's fun to come back to regardless :> also I had no clue about which forest to talk about so I Made Some Shit Up. yes and motherfucker]
[He takes Logan's arm, smiling softly while looking around at the trees]
He would come out here every chance he got. Roman and Patton got to go wild, daydreaming about being a knight in shining armor. You were analyzing every stick, trying to find the perfect sword.
You had a stick up your ass then, just as you have one now.
[She turns to him, smiling and suddenly holding a glass full of wine]
One that helped us out of many situations, though as usual, they all listened to Virgil more than me. I could tell them the wild mushrooms were poisonous, but Anxiety had to scare them out of eating any either way.
[He sighs, but shakes it off.]
We're... working on it. That is what's important, I believe. Everyone is trying.
[Logan walks forward with her, calmly. He doesn't push; just waits for him to speak when she's comfortable.]
[He nods... for a bit too long, trying to mask his emotions]
...Is that what's important, Logan?
I'd assume that being logic, you'd believe in more of a... karmic worldview.
If you've done bad things, you must make up for them in order to not be bad.
[She's rambling now, talking quickly to distract from the fact that she's talking about herself]
Like all of your scientists and philosophers you care so much about. They weren't good people, plenty of them were god-awful douchebags. And they weren't even hiding it!
But because they contributed so much to the world, they get to be remembered as the best of the best. They at least somewhat have made up for their wrongdoings. They succeeded at being good enough.
So why is trying to be better what's important? Shouldn't those who try but fail be punished all the same?
[She realizes she's been talking for a while, and looks at the ground]
You have a fair point, Janus. If we are to view the world in this karmic light, then yes--one has to even out the good with the bad. Similar to how one might cut a dangerous chemical with water to lessen its effects.
[He stops, then, and turns to face her fully, arms crossed and no judgement on his face.]
But it's important to remember that we--all of us, including you--are not chemicals. We aren't simplified substances, we aren't molecules of one thing.
We are not pure. It isn't possible to be.
[Logan pauses, and breathes, focusing his words.]
In the same way that old rhetoric of "two wrongs don't make a right" outlines, one wrong and one right don't make a positively neutral outcome--a net zero, if you will--because they are two entirely different subjects. It would be like adding imaginary and normal numbers. Like oil and water. They don't mix, they don't combine, they don't make an equilibrium.
So in the same way that one cannot make up for all their wrongdoings, neither can they dilute their righteous actions. They have to be viewed separately, and with relevance to their beginnings.
I apologize. What I am trying to say is, intentions matter.
[He offers a hand.]
What's bothering you, Janus? I'm not asking you to speak plainly, but don't stop yourself from speaking--I want to know.
Logan, dear, would you want to go on another walk together? I have a couple things Iâd like to⌠discuss.
Itâs your job to pick the scenery this time, I canât do everything for you.

OUT OF CHARACTER, AAAA I DUNNO! I havenât done anything in peopleâs ask boxes because I havenât wanted to be irritating and honestly Iâve got no ideas𼲠but itâs not just me noticing everyoneâs been less interact-y lately?
[OOC: I apologize! I'm adjusting to college, lol. Please don't be afraid to send things to my ask box, I truly don't mind in the slightest--it just might take time to get to it, but I love it all the same. Again, I'm sorry!! I'll try to stay in the swing of things.]
[Also, @dont-ask-janus is in the same boat too! He's still around, and likely just real busy.]
Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. I saw that. Youâre annoyed. Hey. Hey. Hey there. Hey. Hey! Logan! Logic! Logic! Logic! Hey! Heyyy! Hellooo!! Hehe- hey! Hey hey! Any struggles? Iâve been feeling a lot of being ignored recently! Hey! Hiii! Logic! Logan! Logic! Logic! You mad? Youâre mad! Angry! Haha! Iâm annoying you. Are you just mad that last time, you ended up having to confront the fact youâre not calm all the time? That youâre not logical? Because yelling at Remus when he was being childish wasnât logical! Is that why youâre mad? Or are you still mad at me? Or, technically, mad at you, but still? Hey. Hey! Hey! Hi!
[this annoying mf watches as Logan gets more and more irritated. It only makes them more persistent.]
Ohhh, you see me! Youâre angry! Ignoring meâs kinda childish, wasnât your entire point about intrusive thoughts that not confronting them will do no good? Are you a hypocrite? Ooooo!
[He takes a frustrated breath and ever so gently places the dishrag on the counter, gritting his teeth. With all of the smoothness he can muster, he deliberately laces his fingers and turns to face Orange.]
I mean, Iâm just trying to do my job and be heard. And, I mean, I get that might be hard for you to understand, with how much youâre out of practice with doing yours and stuff- I mean, considering youâve been reduced to pathetically trying to catch attention but ANYWAYS-.
[He tilts his head.]
Out of everybody, you should understand, I think. Speaking of thinking, Iâve been wondering! About you and the others, actually. Arenât you special! What was my point again?
[frog blink.]
Right, right. You. Need to start. Being angrier. None of those idiots that Thomas calls his other sides respect your voice, so you donât really need to respect theirs! âDo unto otters what youâd do to youâ or something like that, dunno. But mâpoint, is that if you, yâknowâ
[He claps his hands in Loganâs face,]
âEXPLODE, GET LOUD, itâs pretty noticeable. Youâll be seen. Thomas needs to be angry just as much as he needs to be delusional and scared - eh, or whatever the other sides doâŚriiiight?
They have no need for me as of right now and I am not angry about it, so don't even start. I drift in and out of usefulness. This is a time of emotional strife. Logic has--has very little place there.
I'm not going to listen to you. Because we have just as little use for you as me. One and the same.
Ironic.
[He picks up the rag and attempts to continue cleaning, though his knuckles are white gripping the cloth.]
âŚyouâŚyou are mad. Oh god, youâre pissed. I struck a nerve with that, didnât I? Hah! I-I mean, I was just trying to mess with you a bit, but- haha! Oh, jeez, so much to cover with you now!
[He clears his throat.]
Okay. First off, Iâm gonna quote ya! Your arguments are usually about citing, so here.
You said in one of Thomasâ dumb blogs, it mightâve been Moving On Part 2 or something, you said youâre not a feeling. And even if I think thatâs a load of crap, the rest of itâs important. Youâre something embedded deep in Thomas. Even if youâre âgoneâ, youâll âbe there to a degreeâ. Logic, you can say youâve got âlittle placeâ right now, but itâs still place. Your usefulness isnât like weather, it doesnât change constantly. Youâre arguably THE MOST useful Side Thomas has! And, I mean, really, you should be pissed theyâve all convinced ya otherwise.
[He shrugs.]
Second off, youâre right, we are connected. But listen, alright? Not as distantly as you want! You like to pretend youâre not a feeling, but you are. Youâre me. And Iâm a little bit of all of you, I mean, have any of you checked on âGoodâ Creativity recently?? But you, specifically, are me. More than the others. Come on, youâre smart enough to not bottle your emotions up, didnât you listen to that irritatingly catchy puppet song the others did? Poor little Morality tried that and ended up more of a sad mess than usual. You wanna be so dysfunctional to Thomas that he bottles you up completely? NahâŚplus, come on. We both really know youâre angry. At me, but also at them. Whether you like it or not, itâs gonna come out at some point anyways. Iâd say use it to your advantage, while you can still slightly control it!~
[He sinks out quickly and pops up a couple inches in front of Logan, no regard for personal space and lots of regard for his goal.]
You? Turning away from a good olâ fashion debate? Pretty queer. And not the kind of queer that we all are, like, old queer, weird queer! Yâknow, itâs funny, Iâm wondering if queer used to be an insult towards gay people because it meant oddâ
[He cuts himself off, blinking.]
Not tangent time. I have a point. What was I talking about? OH YEAH! Youâre actinâ funny, which means Iâm right and we both know it. Câmoooooonnnn, Logic, weâre- buddiess, riiight-?! Yeah! You should take it from me, you need to be MAD! I mean- look at me and Anxiety, yeah? I had this conversation the other day with him about anger not being a bad thing, a whole, civil conversation! And guess how that worked out! We spent the morning filling in a Hello Kitty coloring book together! So- so, Iâm not all that bad, and you should really trust me. Youâre angry. You know youâre angry. Just BE ANGRY!
I'm mad. I am... heh. I don't have words. I'm only listened to when I am helpful. When I am kind. I don't matter. I have words! Facts! But I am only useful if it's face value and for other's benefit.
I don't mean a damn thing. I'm--insignificant. My feelings? My emotions? Are useless to my purpose. I am only my purpose.
I'm angry. I'm--I don't understand it. I don't want to understand it. It's not my job to be angry.
[Uncharacteristically, he sits down, directly on the floor of the kitchen, back against the glass door of the oven. He doesn't make eye contact.]
It's your job.
[He looks up, and it's a question, no blame. He just wants an answer that makes sense.]
Goddamnit. Every time he tries to mess around a bit, he gets heartfelt speeches. Jeez.
âŚI-. Um.
[He looks around.]
I donât know! Really, I donât- Iâm justâŚbored. I mean, Iâve always been here in Thomas like all of you, but Iâm not used to having this weird not-personification-personification-body-thingy. Because Iâm not here, as much as you guys are- I can be here, but only if Thomas is angry, and thatâs when one of you are angry, usually. Oh, and, youâre the most angry.
[He sits down next to Logan quickly with a huff.]
But I want what any other perfectly decent Side wants, yeah? I wanna be not seen asâŚbad? I think? Like, like-âŚlike Janus! You guys thought Janus sucked, and now youâre kinda getting along with him? Sentiment isnât my thing, I guess, but it can still make me sad. Ew. Anyways, Iâm not doing it to you, specifically, I can bother any of youâŚyou just need it more than the others do, I think. Whether you think that or not. Youâve tried expressing your issues all diplomatically and stuff, but youâre right, and they take you for granted. They donât listen when youâre âkindâ or âbenefiting othersâ. You need to make a statement about the fact that there is something currently causing you discomfort, thatâs part of why Thomas isnât functioning properly, without worrying about the others too much. And apparently, youâre tooâŚdecent? No, not decent, butâŚnot dumb, either, but a- kind of both, to do that without help. Also, feelings are facts. Get that through your head. Theyâre just different kinds of facts.
[He rolls his eyes.]
Thereâs a line from a Disney movie, it makes more sense. UhmâŚâyou feel what you feel, and those feelings are real, Kristoff, let down your guardâ. Or something. Dunno. Disney seems to get through your skulls for some reason.
[He seems to think on instinct. It's a quick movement, like he's taken Orange's words to heart for the first time and decided to lean into the impulsively he really wants to.]
[With no second thought, he hugs Orange. It's quick, not very gentle, but with every sincerity.]
Then. I'm... sorry. You don't...
[He lets go, and breathes.]
You would not be here if you did not serve a purpose. We don't exist because we want to. Thomas... needs us. That means he needs you. So I'm sorry. And...
I'm glad you're here.
[There's something like a tear in his eye, one he quickly wipes away, focusing instead on relaxing into the presence.]
[He blinks, taken aback by the hug. After, he just sits there for a second.]
âŚyeah. Yup! Uhm, yeah, i- I can try to help, I donât do this a lot ya knowâ
[His voice cracks and he looks away for a second. Apparently, Loganâs not the only one quickly wiping away tears here.]
Jesus, Logic- or- Logan? Should I call you Logan? Thatâs..civil, right? I- um- Iâm gonna call you Logan now- because thatâs a thing. You all do. With names. Because youâre all so close-knit. Thatâs fine- uh- anyways, help. Right. Help. You want help. And, uh, the whole âoutcastâ thingyâs fine, I know I have a purpose and thatâs whatâs kept me going anyway. But ah, in terms of helping you, I guess itâs what you want help with. If itâs with talking to the others, Iâve made hundreds upon THOUSANDS of flash cards. I get a lot of spare time. I could give you those to try out if ya want, there are a whole bunch of variations and conversation paths, if thatâs what theyâre called, and stuff.
...You can call me Logan. And I'm not sure what I need help with, I just...
[He smiles, and it's natural. An odd thing on his face.]
I don't know how to feel things properly. Patton makes it seem so natural, Roman practically is an emotion, Virgil never shies away from feeling things, and I suppose I'm so unused to feeling so strongly. I just feel... broken.
I don't want to be angry. Not because I don't feel wronged, or like I don't deserve to be angry, but... I don't know how to feel angry.
So don't... leave. I, uh. I do not know how to do this alone, I suppose.
[He hesitantly bumps shoulders with Orange, in a sign of a truce.]
Roman is sitting at the mindscape's version of Thomas's downstairs workspace, working away at the computer, brainstorming ideas in one tab, writing a script in another tab, and editing something in yet another tab. Every so often he stops to sneeze or cough, but he doesn't stop working.
There is a pile of used tissues and a mug of tea that's long since gone cold on the desk next to him.
Logan sighs immediately upon entering the living room, taking in the tissues and the miserable Creative side at the computer. He says nothing, but walks to the kitchen, already starting a new pot of tea. While it boils, he tidies the couch, putting a throw pillow on one end and grabbing a blanket from the back.
After he's satisfied, he stands there for a few seconds, debating. He wears a face like he's just eaten a lemon.
Finally, he just shrugs, sighs, and says, "Roman?"
Roman glances up from his work with a sniffle. "Hey, Logan, what's up?" His voice is rough when he speaks, like he's swallowed rocks, which is also how it feels. He ignores the pain and keeps talking, figuring the logical side is here to remind him (as usual) about their looming deadlines.
"If you've come to nag me about the work, you don't have to." He gestures to the monitor and all his open tabs.
"I'm already knee deep in the script for Thomas' next video, plus the editing for the last one."
He looks ashamed for a second, glancing at the clock to see just how long he's been working, but shrugs it off intently and forges onward. "Not at all, Roman. I'm quite impressed with what you've created. I'm... trying to take more breaks with my work, and I see you've been on for a while, so..."
He grabs Frozen 2 from the entertainment center. "Would you care to join me?"
"You're impressed? Really?" Roman smiles weakly. "Thank you."
He glances at the DVD in Logan's hand. It does sound nice, and he is so tired, "I do love Anna and Elsa," he says, but his work is glaring at him from the computer screen. He sighs. "I just have so much to do and I-I-I-A-A-A-" He sneezes into a tissue and blows his nose, but he knows what's coming. He attempts to clear the phlegm he can feel sliding down the back of his throat, but it triggers a coughing fit anyway. His chest rattles with wet cough after wet cough until he takes a swig of his cold tea.
"Euough," he makes a face, setting the mug back down. "That's disgusting." He turns back to the computer, starting to type again. "I gotta get back to work."
He really thought that would work. It's clear from his face of total bewilderment. That's how he knows Roman really isn't feeling well--if he was in his right mind, he would never turn down Disney.
Logan takes a breath and tries again. "I simply wanted someone to... keep me on track. It's hard to enjoy a movie without the passion you embody. I... enjoy watching films with you, Roman, and I only ask a few hours of your time."
He figuratively crosses his fingers and hopes Roman takes the bait.

Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey.
It's your job.
[He looks up, and it's a question, no blame. He just wants an answer that makes sense.]
Salutations. Thank you for the question. I would have to say my favorite book is I, Robot by Isaac Asimov. It's a brilliant test of morals and humanity, and one of my favorite sci-fi thrillers to date.
Though I am fond of the Hardy Boys. You will not tell the other Sides, anon.
Logan, dear, would you want to go on another walk together? I have a couple things Iâd like to⌠discuss.
Itâs your job to pick the scenery this time, I canât do everything for you.
- @dont-ask-janus
Janus. Hello. I... am quite busy at the moment, but...
