Dazed and confused {AJ and Logan}

AJ laughed, taking a seat across him. She watched as he pulled the insuline out and sat back down. She waited for him to be done with the cereal before grabbing the box from him, her fingers touching his for a few seconds. The girl poured herself some of the sugary cereal, placing the box back on the table. “What does it feel like when.. When you do the insuline thing?”, AJ asked, truly curious about him. They weren’t necessarily close, in fact, they barely got along. But Logan had always been a mystery to her. He was a rubick’s cube that she was dying to solve. Of course she still couldn’t stand him, which made no sense to her. How could someone be so incredibly alluring yet infurating at the same time?

What were they even supposed to talk about? Every interaction between the two up to this point had been argument after argument until one gave up or they were saved by the bell, announcing that a new class was supposed to start. Logan shrugged his shoulders and swallowed back cereal before answering the brunette. She had pretty eyes, something he never noticed before until then and because there was some switch missing in his brain he said it out loud. "Your eyes are beautiful." And as quick as the compliment came, it left. His stance casual, nonchalant. "I don't really think I feel any weird effect when taking it. But if I don't take it then I can't concentrate and things get blurry before I go into shock. It usually never gets to that though, I'm not that stupid." He raised an eyebrow. "What'd you do to tick your mom off tonight? Truth for truth."

Dazed and confused {AJ and Logan}

She gave him a small smile as they walked into his house. It wasn’t as big as hers, but it was cozy and homey. Her house always felt so cold; her interactions with her family seemed forced and she just wasn’t comfortable being there. Nothing against her family, they really did try, but she felt like she didn’t fit in with them.

AJ looked up at him as he spoke, she gave him a small shrug, “I guess I could eat, yes”, she said, following him into the kitchen. She noticed the quietness of his house and she found herself trying to be as quiet as possible as she walked. She stood there awkwardly, staring at him. She had no idea what to do now that they were there, alone. AJ cleared her throat quietly, looking around the kitchen area.

Logan opened the fridge, casual as always even when there was something in his home that stood out like a sore thumb. Her name was AJ and she was someone he never expected to be invited into his home, his safe haven most of the time. It's not like he ever had a childhood that he needed to recover from, in fact, his life was great in any sense of the world because he had people that were solid foundations all around.

He wasn't sure what to eat and he deliberated for a few moments before deciding on just cereal since he was too lazy to make anything else. He pulled the milk out and then walked over to get a box of Fruit Loops before setting plates down on the kitchen's island. "I'm the master chef around town, clearly." He said and pushed the plate across to her before going to the cabinet. He pulled out some insulin and did as he did before going to sit down and poured himself some cereal.
