Rhinoceros tick, Dermacentor rhinocerinus, Ixodidae

As the name suggests, this species feeds primarily on rhinos, but other hosts include cattle, sheep, buffalo, jackals, and elephants. All photos show males except photo 1 which shows a male (top) and female (bottom). Found in southern Africa.
