wemmbu casually mentioning she thinks pearls are beautiful? the next day jaden goes diving to look for the prettiest ones in the entire great sea so he can make her a necklace
wemmbu wants to renovate her wardrobe to fit the “pirate aesthetic”? jaden will get her the finest fabrics and silks and have the best tailors make her whatever she wants
wemmbu says she likes sweets? jaden uses his influence over the great sea commerce to get all necessary ingredients and decides to learn how to bake so he can make her favourites
wemmbu offhandedly talks about someone who wronged her in the past? that person is completely banned from pirate civ and is deemed an unwanted visitor by the entire great sea
whatever the pirate queen wants, her devoted husband will provide!
Wemmbu goes “oh i remember seeing a few women with these beautiful layered pearl necklaces! I think they would look so beautiful with my new outfits don’t you think! Next time we go to the market i should look for some!”
Jaden goes “nah I can one up literally every other man that was in your life before me with this one simple trick” and once wemmbu leaves to go hang out with egg or train some of her chungie pirate children, instantly goes to start diving for the most beautiful and shiniest pearls for the love of his life. He goes to a jewelry in his civ and asks to be taught to make necklaces himself, and then a few weeks later presents her with like 15 different styles pearl necklaces!! wanted to make sure even when she wasn’t dressing super piratey she had some to match with her other outfits.
Wemmbu says she wants to match with him? and match the aesthetic of her new civ seeing as they are calling her the queen? He goes on more raids searching for the softest, silkiest, cloth to find make tailored and custom clothes EXACTLY how his girl wants it to look like.
Jaden knows how to cook bec he’s a MAN!! like that, but he’s never focused much on sweets and candy and sugary treats bec he himself doesn’t like them that much. HOWEVER when wemmbu admits she really likes sugary treats and candy, but doesn’t rlly allow herself to eat them that much bec she never had a base or something’s always happening and doesn’t rlly have time to actually learn how to make them herself?
Jaden decided he’s mastering how to bake and make the prettiest looking deserts for her. Start trading for more food related things for more things for bakeries in his civ. As well as asks to be taught how to make some of the deserts on the menu he saw wemmbu looking at.
He’s training himself for literally every thing she could ever ask for. Asked to be taught by a jewelry maker!! asked to be taught how to bake by a professional chef. Bro is turning himself into the number one husband and that is his goal!!!
Jaden asks about her life and she talks about Zam and the zam empire and how everything went down, and it’s very different from how the public kinda knows about it? I mean one second wemmbu and zam were allied and then zam destroyed her kingdom and then Zams kingdom was just BOMBED?? Lmao
But he gets the full story and she starts kinda crying at one point bec I mean, she’s kinda played it off since then and joked about it a bit, and she was rlly friendly with Zam in the prison and helped break her out. But that was just ignoring how hurt she truely was back then. She honestly was never going to betray zam and was soo loyal to her. She still doesn’t even understand what went wrong and why Zam turned on her that fast.
Anyways Jaden gets that story and a small few bits about other stuff (right now she’s too tired from takiing about the Zam empire to talk about literally any other of the fucked up things that happen to her later LMAOO)
So he decides that Zam is on a kind of “has to be approved list” bec wemmbu as of right now (in the story canon) seemed to be friendly with her and while he wants to ban Zam fully from his empire, he doesn’t want to do it without her approval and doesn’t want to break her trust by doing it without her knowing.
Right now she’s too tuckered out so he plans to ask another time whether she wants to ban Zam or allow them in some parts of the pirate civ but not all of it or something like that.
Other people? Wemmmbu seems to half forget like all of her enemies the second she no longer needs to fight them (aside from Jaden himself, and Flame as her “rival 😒”) so she’ll probably drop lore on Jaden out of no where of different people that have wronged her or did this weird ass thing to her, and he has to instantly commit it to his brain before she instantly moves on to a new thing.
Whatever the pirate queen wants, the pirate queen gets. However she never directly requests anything because she’s learned not to ask for much from other people.
So Jaden and the other pirates (her children) have to pay a lot of attention to things she mentions she’d like to try or never done before. The only things she DIRECTLY requests are armour or weapons bec she thinks of herself as a weapon, and thinks to herslef how pirate civ most likely likes her bec she’s good at pvp and can protect them, so her pirate children and Jaden are trying to get her to request regular things she likes!! some new boots/heels? some cool desert shes never tried? a pretty jeweled brush for her hair? some soft hair bands? A cool book?
It’s an uphill battle that jaden loves <3 as over time his wife is getting more and more comfortable in his civ and with him and is able to request and WANT things that aren’t weapons.
