You know what, with the way Crystalized ended, with Harumi basically giving up on life and clearly preparing herself for death again as penance for her crimes (only being saved cause Lloyd was like "she's with us"); and then Lloyd's oni form being revealed after he "lost" his father, they're kind of set up as a "I would burn the world for you; I would die for you" dynamic but it's interesting because it's not the one you think it is.
You'd think Harumi would be the one to burn the world for you, after all, that's what she did when she lost her parents, but that's not really the case when it comes to Lloyd. Throughout Crystalized, Harumi's sticking her neck out for Lloyd. She's arguing with the fucking OVERLORD to let him live. And I know everyone's like (well Crystalized fucked up Harumi's character and changed it so llorumi seemed more likely to happen) and that's actually wrong because Harumi has actually stuck her neck out for Lloyd before Crystalized. In Hunted, Harumi has multiple chances to ambush Lloyd and kill him, but she never takes it. She even purposely omits information that would put Lloyd's life in danger from Garmadon. Very strange behavior from the girl who wants him dead. My point is, Harumi repeatedly puts her life in danger for Lloyd. She's ready to burn the world down but for him she'd give her life (even bigger deal considering she seems to be afraid of death but I think that's more of a personal headcanon)
And then with Lloyd, you'd think he's the one to give his life for you and that's been the case before. Lloyd puts his life on the line daily to protect people, he's put his life on the line to save Garmadon, to save and protect the ones he loved, he quite literally gave his life for Ninjago and then got yeeted back cause Grandpa finally decided to help out. Point is though, Lloyd's no stranger to giving his life for someone or something of value, so you'd think he'd be the one to give his life. But instead, when someone else is the one to die, he crashes and burns. He makes reckless decisions to try and save the ones he loves, he awakened his oni side because he thought the other ninja were dead, he Turned into an oni when he thought Garmadon had died, pretending for a moment that the entirety of Ninjago was a planned out story that wasn't haphazardly thrown together, you wonder how long all of that's been building up. Lloyd fights because he cares, but he cares too much, and considering the people he lives are clearly his anchors, take them away and you got a golden oni ready to tear the world apart cause he's got nothing left to lose
Idk I think it's an interesting thought
A Harumi redemption makes more sense once we consider Llorumi's Yin-yang dynamic and Lloyd spiraling into depression and doubt in NDR. If Harumi had chosen the light, leaving her past behind and starting a new life, during the time between Crystallized and NDR, then Harumi and Lloyd have embraced the small bit of themselves they originally rejected and essentially switched roles in their Yin-yang dynamic. Since Lloyd let himself bear the weight of his shortcomings and failures, Harumi would be abandoning revenge and hatred, choosing to heal instead --- although that would be happening off-screen, in this case.
They're the opposite of who they used to be. It's so unlike how we know them, but they still maintain the balanced, Yin-yang dynamic.

If someone hasn't already done this, and you guys are not fluent in musical language, then that's fine because I'm going to explain as best as I can and in my words how Harumi's musical motif in Ninjago can help us see how she changed.
Jay Vincent and Michael Kramer were the composers for Ninjago's soundtrack, and created Harumi's motif. In the soundtrack, they associated wind instruments with the good guys, and string instruments with the bad guys. When we are first introduced to Harumi in Sons of Garmadon, her motif is played by a flute --- a wind instrument. As the season progresses, we hear some minor shifts in Harumi's motif, including a stray from the sweet, light-hearted melody we got as our first impression of her to a darker, twisted undertone as we are gradually being revealed her true colors. Once we see Lloyd being betrayed by Harumi at the Oni Temple, Harumi's motif dramatically transitions from being played by the flute to the piano and the violin --- string instruments.
We are going to focus, however, on how Harumi's motif was being played in Crystallized, specifically in the last episode of the season, when Harumi, Lloyd, and Garmadon get off the Golden Ultra Dragon to reunite with the ninja after the final battle was over. We are hearing Harumi's motif again, but this time with the flute once more. When Jay, Cole, Kai, and Zane give her suspicious looks, you can hear a tone of regret and sadness denoted by a minor key. The ninja's looks reminded Harumi of her evil actions, causing her to feel remorse and a want to change, which is translated in the music. However, with the ninja looking at her like that, she was probably thinking it would be impossible for a real redemption to come about her despite what she wants. Fortunately, once Lloyd says, "Don't worry, she's with us," there is literally a major shift in the tone of her motif. There is relief and joy denoted by just a split second of a note in a major key. Harumi is now a soul touched by forgiveness and redemption; through Lloyd's reassuring words she is no longer burdened by her past and can start a new life on the good side.
But it doesn't stop there. The positive ending of her motif blends in with the rest of the music following that conversation, creating a building and a swell of hope --- note the word building --- and acceptance. After the Golden Ultra Dragon disappears, Master Wu appeals everyone to rebuild, and that is exactly what they did towards the end of the episode with the Monastery. Guess who also joined in the rebuilding of the Monastery? Harumi.
Harumi's redemption may not be as well written as it should be (that is a conversation for another time), but the music does a better job of telling her story of change from a person torn by unresolved pain and seeking revenge to a person redeemed and (hopefully) accepted back into society after realizing that what she did was wrong. Jay and Michael are excellent composers, and their music makes me appreciate Harumi's complex character even more.
