Im a big fan of haikyuu! But there are some flaws in this anime I cannot ignore .i never saw anyone talk about how misogynistic this anime is .first we have kiyoko who has so much depth in her personality .shes the manager of the team.shes smart.emotionally intelligent.ambitious and calm under pressure and very mature but shes just reduced to this “sexy quiet girl with big boobs and a big ass with dark hair and light skin “ she has so much to be shown about her and her personality and the writers barley show that .the first time she was shown in the anime they immediately zoomed in on her boobs and ass .and her “beauty “ it makes me so sad because im a girl and I enjoy haikyuu and learn a lot from it but the way the whole anime turns weird the moment a girl is shown breaks my heart . Tanaka keeps being weird and keeps harassing her and assaulting her and she handles it with so much calmness (even tho I wouldn’t blame her if she slapped him) and it’s shown in a way thats supposed to be “funny” I heard that she just ends up marrying him later in the manga which makes no sense because he literally was being a weirdo towards her and harassed her . Also yachi is reduced to this anxious girl whose cute and doesn’t have any courage in her .everytime a girl is shown In haikyuu it’s either girls cheering for boys and laughing or just side characters .even the body language of the girls is different .its more “small” like bent legs or arms put infront of the body .and I never saw anyone talk about this .kiyoko is aHIGHSCHOOLER SHE SHOULDNT BE SEXUALIZED .and dont get me started on the “lucky pervert “ shit .nishinoya is just being a straight up weirdo and trying to harass this girl and it’s shown in a comedic way .its not funny at all and shouldn’t be normalised . We never see girl characters developing or having actual depth in their personality and I feel like more people should talk about this
