"This is a talking calculator." - The video demos the use of the calculator to add 3 plus 5. The calculator reads out "3 plus 5 equals eight" as the keys are being pressed.
"Here we have a talking tape measure." - The video shows a black and cyan tape measure being turned on, and it immediately reads out "0 inches." The user pulls the tape out to 2â
inches and the tape measure reads this measurement.
"Here we have a signature guide to help with signing documents." - The video shows a small black plastic device, similar in dimensions to a credit card, but with a smaller rectangle cut out of the inside, being placed on a blank piece of paper. The user signs on the paper inside the cut out rectangle.
"Here we have a talking book player." - The video shows a card-like item (labeled NH Talking Book Co Audio Books and the company address) being placed into a black and gray plastic device. The device has a red power button to the left, yellow volume buttons to the right and a green play/stop button in the center around the green buttons are gray buttons for rewind, sleep, and fast forward. There are gray buttons further back for time and speed controls. The user presses play and the reader begins to read "an American studies professor examines the cultural context" before the video cuts to the next clip.
"And then finally here we have a tactile globe with raised lines and braille." - The video shows the user rotating the globe slowly, placing their hands on the globe's features as they talk about them.
