Living With A Vampire

before you start with "Oh well you don't understand, you have someone special." you don't think i've been alone on v-day before? Because I was. It still didn't mean squat to me. I thought the whole thing was ridiculous. I still think that.

it's another day to sucker people into spending more money.

you should love and appreciate the people around you, EVERY DAY of the year. not just one.

that said, i also think the majority of "major holidays" are commercialized money holes.

Pay attention to that "someone special" for more and a couple days out of the year. Take them out randomly. Bring them home a token of thought. SHOW THEM THEY MEAN SOMETHING TO YOU. You don't necessarily have to spend money, just do something to show you care and they were on your mind.

Every now and again, every martial artist gets an injury from training... I've had several over the years. Tonight, I was subject to another. While sparring, my opponent and I got into grappling and I received a knee to the tailbone. Needless to say, I'm in quite some pain. I did continue to fight despite not feeling too super. Class was nearly over, so i just pushed through. After Arnis class tomorrow, I have a few days rest, and I have tomorrow off from work anyways.

Sigh.

Those nights where you feel the sting of hunger stronger than you're used to... When you have to fight to keep calm and maintain control, hiding the pain and agitation .... Watching your language, mannerisms, every little thing.

Just so you all know, I have a hatred for "Twilight". Why do I hate Twilight? Because... It has single handedly DESTROYED what vampires are supposed to be. If that wasn't enough... THE FAN BASE *twitches*. They have lost their freaking minds. Those who never liked vampires before somehow have turned into these "Oh I LOVE vampires!" no... no you don't. You are just a little fangirl for the actor. That's all. If you did like vampires, you would have watched at least SOME of the movies before twilight, or read some books, seen some of the tv shows. I have an entire database I've been building regarding all recent media on vampires. Anywho, what has set me off on this rant, is as follows: I just saw a post "I want to be a vampire now after watching 'Breaking Dawn', even though I am a vegetarian" WHAT!?!?!?! You don't even get it, you pathetic, sniveling child!! For one, THOSE AREN'T VAMPIRES! Not even CLOSE! Not even close to the fictional sense of the monsters they were originally made to be! VAMPIRES DON'T SPARKLE!!! You have got to be joking me!! I WISH that was all my skin did in the sunlight. I FREAKING BURN in the sun. Even with sunscreen. Number two, you want to be a vampire after seeing such a sad excuse for a movie?!?! Do you always base your life decisions on a 2 hour whim? I hope not. "Oh man! I want to have a baby so I can be on tv to!" I really hope you're not one of those. Yes, your life will be complete by diving headlong into something without thought. Let's think this through.  According to the Twilight universe, as a vampire: 1. You'd live forever. - Ok sounds great in theory. You'll see civilizations rise and fall, perhaps meet some great people who will influence cultures or cure diseases. Super.... But that also comes at a price.Everyone you'll grow to love will die. They will age and die. Every. Single. One. Unless you decide to take one with you... But we'll talk bout that later. 2. You're indestructible, for the most part. No weaknesses, unless your head gets ripped off. Sounds pretty neat. Unless you get sick of your existence an want to die. Good luck with that. 3. You kill people and/or animals. There is no feeding indiscreetly. You HAVE to kill. THAT MEANS TAKING INNOCENT LIVES. Unless you go kill a bunch of lowlife scummy humans.. Which I wouldn't blame you for, but still... How many people can say that they could kill without remorse?? I AM a vampire and I still feel shitty when my thirst flares and I have to feed (well, afterwards anyways... not so much during, when I feel like tearing people apart if they even look at me funny...)  -.- Good luck to you if you think you can handle it, pathetic human.

4. "Changing" a Human can be a tough choice. You might lose control and kill them. And if you don't, you're making them live through the most excruciating three days of their lives. Can you do that to them? Make them like you? A killer? Cold. Frozen in time. Never to age, never to experience things as a human again. You might think it's ok now, but eventually it'll sink in what you've done to them. Oh sure, in the movie, Bella Swan was totally thrilled. She was also one of the most poorly written female characters to date. "Oh I can't live my life without Edward! I'm gonna go jump off a cliff so I can see him again!" WWHHHAAAAAA. She had nearly zero independence. As much depth as a can of tuna. You are a HUMAN. The end. Just be what you are. There is no "changing" into one of us. Even if there was, I for one, wouldn't "change",  "turn", "bring across" or "make" you like me because you "love vampires like in twilight". *Eye roll* NO. Just walk away. GO AWAY. I don't even want to talk to you. Especially if you're so willing to betray your morals so quickly, for what? So you can look like you rolled in a pile of glitter and eat deer? Oh good for you, sounds like you got your priorities right. Ok rant over. PLEASE, please, don't be like this person. -.-
