Look in the mirror. See that person looking back at you? That’s you. That will forever be you. During the times that you feel like you’re all alone in the universe, take a look into the mirror, and remember that that person staring back is with you. You will always have yourself.

Everyone says that you only find happiness yourself. That’s hard, especially when it’s been taken away from you. And it wasn’t your fault. And you no longer know what ‘happiness’ means. Where does it come from? What does it look like? How long will it stay? Will it be stolen from me again? Those words… people want to tell you that your wrong… and you clearly aren’t trying hard enough. And the screams, the whispers,  they deafen you, hoping you will succumb to them. Perhaps the strength in happiness is believing you deserve it. That just because it takes a little while to find, doesn’t mean it’s not possible, and doesn’t make it your fault. It is okay to be angry and sad, just remember that it is also okay to be happy. It is okay to be happy. Listen to that.
