Building green infrastructure in our neighborhood 

Civic ecology practices provide multiple opportunities for learning. It demonstrates how people learn through interacting with each other and with the environment that surrounds them. 

We are creating green infrastructure that provides ecosystem services. 

Civic Ecology 

Members of the community coming together to demonstrate a collective caring and efficacy. Ecosystems provide lots of loving things that humans need to thrive and survive. Ultimately, we seek to protect these areas so that they will continue to provide us with essential services. 

20 years and artist by the name of Lily Yeh continued growing spaces in the neighborhood. She wanted to spread the spirit of communal care and compassion throughout the community. For Lily, beautification of physical space catalyzed positive mental and emotional shifts in the way residents viewed their own lives and the health 

More than 40 years ago Arthur Hall created a space for people in the neighborhood to read, dance, sing and make music. This was a crucial part of each residents learning and celebrating the communities culture and heritage.
