Tiny who has powers but is too inexperienced with them or hasn’t fully “tapped into their potential”. Giant who’s in a really bad fight or put in danger to the point where the tiny is so riled up and frustrated that they aren’t able to do anything to help, their size being the obvious limiting factor.
Giant is pinned by the throat against a wall, or thrashing in someone’s grip, etc, when all of a sudden there’s a massive flash of light, or a zing, a bang, SOMETHING. The tiny is across the room from them, shaking, furious, practically in tears after using every ounce of strength they had to conjure up a spell or zap to help the giant out ☹️
And everyone’s just in pure shock because someone so little just did SO much damage.
