🚨RANT ALERT🚨
I’m a dime and a dollar too short to this convo, being it is 2026, but I’ve take the liberty of re-listening to all the TAZ campaigns and made the brutal mistake of scrolling on Reddit while doing this. Holy God, I didn’t know people felt that way about Grad. Like is it perfect and without flaw? No, of course not. But you’d think that Travis tied down and forced his family to play Grad and has secretly been scheming to destroy the McElroy family brand with the way people talk about him and Grad…Actually, that’s exactly what these people think (more or less), which is nuts. Also, controversial time:
While I can admit that Grad started out kinda rough, some of you bitches forget that Balance’s start was also rough. And that’s not a grip on anyone because, have ya’ll ever played a TTRPG? It’s always a little awkward at the start, you’re still figuring shit out. You’re still establishing how you actually want to play your characters and if you’re a GM, you’re trying to figure out the narrative style and approach to the story at hand. I thank Christ that the first time I GMed a game that it wasn’t put out to the wider general public, that shit was ROUGH. Those folks on Reddit taking jabs at Travis would’ve eaten me alive.
Point is, Grad was definitely growing pains in some ways for Travis as a GM but it is definitely not the shit dumpster that I’ve seen folks making it out to be. That campaign is a delight for me and those boys clearly had fun with it and that’s all I care about. And I love that this rant has devolved into me arguing with comments that are for sure 4-5 years old.
Also in a Reddit thread I found about Grad, Steeple Chase and Justin were also catching some strays. Hey bud, sleep with one eye open, I feel very paternal about that campaign. But I guess (in the words of Lup and Taako) “there’s no accounting for taste.”

Been a bit MIA cause of schoolwork but I’ve been feeling nostalgic, so I’ve been rewatching Naruto (which I haven’t seen since I was 12 or 13).
Anyway, the show got me inspired to draw again, so have this. Also I wish I could tell you the who drew the original pose reference I used but I can’t find the creator anywhere. If anyone knows, let me know.

I’m not done talking about how some of ya’ll (I am aware I’m arguing with Tumblr users from over a decade ago) listened to WTNV and came the conclusion that somehow Cecil was a stoic and dominate top. And the only reason I’m complaining is because it makes trying to find accurate fan fiction a nightmare.
“But Raven, he’s so flirtatious over the air and is so bold on the air.” Being bold doesn’t make you a top, doesn’t even make you a dominate. But I digress, I could write a dissertation on why Cecil’s bratty ass isn’t a top.
