Six degrees of separation is the idea that all people are six or fewer social connections away from each other. As a result, a chain of "friend of a friend" statements can be made to connect any two people in a maximum of six steps.

Actress Shannen Doherty and make-up artist Lee Starkey have different degrees of separation, this time we will post the one degree of separation, musician Julian Lennon.

We don't know if they could've possibly meet, either when Lee lived in the USA or when Shannen travelled to London with some of the "Beverly Hills, 90210" cast. They both were from the same generation, and had similar style anyway!

At the top, we have Lee Starkey (L) and Julian Lennon (2nd R), with their respective mothers Cynthia Lennon and Maureen Starkey Tigrett, at Lennon's, a restaurant by then owned by Cynthia, in 1989.

On the bottom, Julian is with Shannen at the Opening of club shelter, pasadena, california on December 4, 1992.

Shannen was a very succesful actress, activist, author, director and producer who starred in productions like "Beverly Hills, 90210", "Charmed", "Heathers", "Mallrats" among many others, who sadly passed away because of breast cancer on 2024 aged only 53. Lee Starkey is the youngest child, and only daughter, of Beatles' drummer Ringo Starr. She worked as a make-up artist, fashion designer and was the co-owner of a 1960s inspired fashion store in LA in the 1990s. After loosing her mother to leukemia in 1994, she was diagnosed with a rare form of brain tumour in 1995 aged only 24, and in 2001. Today she's in the clear, living a private life with partner musician Jay Mehler and their teenage triplets.
