Werewolves AU, where people around the world organize illegal werewolf hunts out of fear of their superiority. Because of this, werewolves are forced to hide their identity from neighbors, friends, and even family.
Many hunts ended with the shooting of entire families.
The organization for the protection and assistance of injured and needy werewolves intercepts the signal of the police station. A large brown wolf was found there, and hunters assume it's a werewolf [because of their size].
So Hamilton's squad, which includes Max, rushes to intercept this lone wolf in order to find out if they need help.
Upon arrival, Max transforms into a large white wolf, immediately picking up the trail of their target. As soon as he finds them, the group spreads out into the forest, taking up positions.
The branches crackle under the power of his paws, Max no longer hides his presence, driving the brown wolf to the shooter's position with sleeping pills [note: the medicine contains a drug that causes the werewolf to forcibly turn into a human].
A lone wolf howls and falls to the ground when a bullet pierces its thick fur, and it spins several times on the ground. Behind the crunching of bones and the moans of pain of a man on the ground, Max's wolfish hearing picks up a quieter whine from under the fallen leaves. The dark little spot is moving, and the little puppy, which the mother was carrying in its mouth, with a short tail tucked between the legs, rushes to the body shaking on the ground. The man reaches for the puppy, desperately struggling with the medicine in his blood, but soon loses consciousness.
“Fuck,” Max thinks, standing on two human legs. No one warned them that the lone wolf was with a small pup [they have the same coat shade, and no one saw the baby in the mouth of his werewolf-mother.]
Their operation was successful, and the werewolf (with the puppy) was captured, soon to be taken to the recovery center, but it was only by luck that the mother didn’t bite the puppy in its mouth.
[The puppy did not suffer any serious injuries from the fall.]
After 12 hours, both were taken to the Recovery Center, where, under the influence of sleeping pills, the young man, as it became clear later, was examined and put in order, placed in a special room.
Dr. Sebastian and Max are the first to discover that an unknown young man is showing signs of a feral werewolf.
*A feral werewolf is a term used in medicine to refer to a patient who has been in the form of a wolf for a long period of time [note: from several months].
It is not surprising that after recovering from his capture, the young man demonstrates disorientation and subsequent aggression caused by fear.
Charles Leclerc was in the form of a wolf for about 4 years, after his family was hunted.
Lewis hands Max a tablet with a database of missing people, showing a photo of a boy with delicate green eyes and cute dimples on his cheeks.
Behind a window hidden in the wall, Max sees a thin and wild young man clutching a small puppy with sluggish, disobedient hands.
He pulled the blankets and pillows off the bed into a corner of the room, building a nest on the floor. And although Charles looks a little more calm now that the puppy is in his field of vision, the young man continues to restlessly look around the unknown space.
News headlines from four years ago stated that several werewolves had been shot, from which Sebastian deduced they were dealing with a traumatized werewolf whose wolfish consciousness now prevails over the sleeping human one.
Over the years, Charles had completely forgotten what it was like to be human.
