Some parents think mouth soaping is only for foul language, but it’s very useful for any kind of disrespect or talking back. It’s a perfect way to reassert control over your son’s mouth, to make it clear that you can put limits on what comes out of it and decide what goes in it. Very humbling, especially when you get him crying over your knee, and it starts to lather up.
