Hayden chuckled “So because I don’t ask for sex I must be gay? No dear, I am polite and a gentleman. I know how to treat a girl, when she’s worth it. Now I am not saying you are not worth it, all I’m saying is I’m not interested in sex just for sex. It has to mean something.” He rubber his neck quickly “And I wouldn’t say that you’re pretty, I would’ve used a word such as beautiful, gorgeous, stunning or lovely.”

"There's nothing wrong with being gay, I'm just surprised. Gentlemen don't really seem to exist these days and I think I'm 100% sure that they wouldn't be admitted into an asylum." Lane tilted her head to the side and shrugged. "But I guess I should say thank you... I can appreciate different. God, when you talk like that you must have really been quite the heart-breaker out in the big bad world."

"I don’t care much for your secrets, it’s just that you don’t seem to have anything else for me, and you seem to really want that drink. And who am I to keep you off from drinking?"

"I don't seem to have anything else for you? Really? Nothing at all? Just secrets that you don't even want? I'm hurt really. Hurt and shocked, most guys just ask for sex. Am I not pretty enough for you? Are you gay?"

"Too bad, it was quite a show. I am not needing anything at the moment, and I don’t suppose you have anything that could interest me. So how about for every drinks you have, you tell me one of your secrets?"

"Uh huh, well you're the second person to want my secrets for exchange so I'm fine with that. But what good are my secrets to you? Hell, you probably know most of them already."

Amanda smiled,laying her hand on the girl’s shoulder.”Everyone does stupid things..”

"Stupid things that get people killed?"

"Oh dear, it wasn’t that simple getting it. I had to get into the staff’s room to get it. I’m as quiet as a shadow. Needless to say, when he realised his alcohol had gone missing, he made a scene, blaming all of the patients. The asylum had to fire him. It was such a great show. I even clapped when they dragged him away." Hayden raised a brow "And do you have something to give me in exchange? It would be too easy if I just gave it to you now, wouldn’t it?"

"I'm surprised I never heard about that. Maybe I was in solitary, maybe I had to much meds, still, such a shame to miss such excitement. Either way, I'm sure that he deserved to get fired, all the staff here are disgusting." Lane raised her own brow which was quickly followed by a pout. "Of course, people always want things in here... What do you want from me in exchange, Hayden?"

Hayden laughed “Wow, sucking up to the ones who have what you desire… They contain alcohol dear. You are familiar with them. I have a six pack of beer, a bottle of Dry Gin, a bottle of Grey Goose and a bottle of Finlandia.”

"I'll try to be more subtle next time... Oh thank god. You wouldn't mind sharing would you? I mean, that's an awfully large amount of alcohol for one man to down on his own-- I'm actually surprised that the staff are stupid enough to leave that much lying around in patients reach."

Hayden looked both ways of the corridor, making sure no one was around “Well, I might have or might have not taken some bottles from a staff’s room.”

"Wow, would you look at that! My headache's gone." she grinned. "Are they full bottles? Wait, what's in them? Please tell me you didn't just pick up empty bottles."

"Oh am I now?" Hayden tilted his head slightly, smiling "I wasn’t insinuating that you were a fly, but in this metaphor, you are indeed the fly. Exactly. That is why I sneak into places, read things I shouldn’t, and perhaps also take things that don’t belong to me."

"Mmmhmm, there's not a single doubt in my achy head that say's otherwise." Lane smirked. "Uh huh, well I disagree with you still. There is no way I'm a fly. Not even a metaphorical one. Oh? --What have you taken? I'm curious."

Hayden chuckled “I’m an elaborated person, complex. I am a maze within a puzzle, surrounded by a mystery. What doesn’t make sense to you, is completely understood to me. And like Morticia Adams said, What is normal for spiders is chaos for the flies. Plus I don’t have much to distract me in this enclosed place, for the exception of my books. I try and entertain my mind as I can. You can’t blame me for that now, can you?”

Lane raised a brow before rubbing her temples. "You're a bit of a headache too." she paused and scrunched up her face. "Are you calling me a fly? Because if you are, I'm very offended and would like to let you know that I don't blindly fall into a spiders web." With a sharp hum, she shifted on her feet and shook her head. "I guess not. This place is much too boring."

"Well that’s not very nice..why’d you do it?"

"There's no reason.. I just do stupid things sometimes."

Well this is going to be fun... Who shut you up, kid?

"Oh I’m no loner dear. I talk to people. I don’t stay with them though. I watch, like a hawk. I’m not that easy to break to pieces. People have tried. For many, many years, but, hey, look, I’m still standing, and they are the ones fifty feet under ground. Well, no actually, he didn’t get a proper burial. Well my point is that he’s the dead one, and I’m still alive." He crossed his arms over his chest "I know, I have learnt the hard way not to trust everyone or everything. I don’t make my opinions on people based on a piece of paper. I just try and get a rough idea of your background. I do know that you have many things hidden inside of your mind that I will probably never know about. Everyone here is a complex machinery working on either fears, beliefs or even convictions that await to be broken when they get out of this shit hole."

"Talking to people and being a loner can very easily be the same thing, darling, and honestly, it's nice to know that you compare yourself to a bird like that, it's very honest of you. Hmm, so what if no one has managed to break you before and nobody had earnt your trust in what I can only imagine has been a very long time. That mean's shit. You've just not met the right person to be able to do both of those things." Lane shrugged and mimicked his actions. "So what are you saying? That you know enough about my history but aren't going to judge me because of it and instead, you're going to treat the information like shit and form your own opinion? If you ask me, that makes all of the trouble it must have been to get the information in the first place kind of pointless."

Hayden nodded “It really is, yes. Very handy in daily situations, especially here.” Hayden took a look around and raised a brow when he set his eyes back on Lane “I’m not one to trust people easily, even though I’d love to share with you my brilliant plans and sneaky trips around the asylum, I watch my backs. And nobody is to be trusted in here.”

"Have you been anywhere else?" She asked with a serious expression before rolling her eyes. "Right, I don't think anybody is up for trusting people easily in a place like this, but hey, what are you gonna do, right? It pays to watch your back but it doesn't help to be a loner in here. Loners are easy to break, they're easy to ride of... Nobody would miss a nosy, brilliant, sneaky and paranoid loner." 

"I am very good at decoding people. Well except for this time. We haven’t had a conversation long enough for me to find out anything about you. Well except for the fact that you have a hot temper. No, this time I don’t get any credit. I read your file. I read everyone files."

"Oh is that so? I guess it's a good trait to have, probably helps you figure out who's most likely to knife you, huh? --I'm going to pretend you didn't say that and am just going to move onto that interesting statement... The reading one, how did you get hold of peoples files? Because you sure as hell don't look like a staff member, and what exactly did you learn from my file?"

Hayden smirked “Also what I thought. So tell me, what got you a ticket to the insane house? Let me guess, booze and jealousy?”

"Wow, it's like you know everything about me already. Except of course, the fact that it wasn't the booze or the jealousy that got me the ticket, it was my idiotic guardian."
