Hii! Just bumped into your blog and I am interested in what I see..👉👈👀✨ I was wondering if you don't mind requests? If you'd rather just write what you want to, tho, totally alright, feel free to ignore this ask if so!!🫶
If you're alright with requests, then...could I humbly request for an (aoex) Mephisto x reader? With the reader being a dragoon but also actually kind of a softie that doesn't like to resort to violence against demons despite being an exorcist and that somehow catches Mephisto's attention and he ends up trying to understand this fairly new recruit from a little too close, by any chance?👀
Thank you for your time reading through this ask, and I wish you a lovely day!!<3
pairing : yandere!mephisto pheles | dragon!reader
synopsis : after joining halfway through the semester to be an exorcist (persuaded by your rich parents), you catch the eye of the owner of true cross academy; a real achievement.
authors note : i'm super sorry i didn't mention reader being against harming demons in action, and only in speech :( i made them a student, so having missions totally slipped my mind! you can request again if you like, maybe a pt.2 where they actually go on a mission!
With a huff, you adjusted the straps of your backpack. Yukio was on your left, his uniform clean and tidy, unlike yours. It was your first day at True Cross Academy, and Yukio and his brother, Rin, were currently escorting you. Rin trailed behind with a sulk on his face, which you didn’t take personally. You’d heard Rin was the son of Satan, so you didn’t expect much of a lively personality from him.
But didn’t that mean Yukio was… never mind. You didn’t want to dwell on the thought of it. You, yourself, were an anomaly to humans. You hid it quite well, unlike Rin’s demon tail and flames-for-ears. You were half dragon. You didn’t have ears or a tail (unless your emotions were heightened and extreme), just a few shimmering scales trailing along your spine, knuckles, and knees.
Only then had you realised Yukio had been talking, and you hadn’t listened one bit. “This is our class,” you hadn’t realised you got there so quickly. It was a long walk, yet you must’ve dissociated the whole time. “And I’m your teacher,” Yukio let out a smug smile, awaiting your reaction. You weren’t surprised, though; he looked too sophisticated to be a student.
“That’s nice,” You muttered, hanging your head low as your fists tightened around your backpack straps. You wondered what your class would be like: whether it would be a bunch of brooding know-it-alls who passed you in every way, or if it would be lively.
You didn’t expect them to be so… quiet upon seeing you. You expected a dramatic round of applause for a new student, but they just sort of looked and went back to their conversations. You sat at an empty table near the back, neck flushed with embarrassment. You didn’t prefer the attention, but you’d like just a little bit of acknowledgement.
You rested your chin on your palm, half-lidded eyes paying little to no attention to Yukio. You didn’t want to be in this class anyway; your father had convinced you to join so you’d be ‘higher up in the world ranks’. That was all he ever cared about: class.
Fidgeting with your pen, you furrowed your brows once a Scottish white terrier came up and sat on the seat next to you, pawing at your leg. Did Yukio know a dog was in here? The thing would probably get kicked out if you told…
With a pout, you settled the dog on your lap underneath the desk so you could hide it, nervously fidgeting with the paper in your book. Class was over before you knew it. Stroking the dog the whole time helped your nerves and made class seem quicker.
Slinging your backpack over your shoulder to head to lunch, the rest of the class already in their groups in front of you, you noticed that little dog following you. Or- you began to follow it. You felt like it was leading you somewhere. You walked and walked until you were at the very top of True Cross Academy, eyes wide in awe at the view.
From here, you could see the whole academy and then some. Bustling streets filled with students, cars, and buses. You heard the dog yip at you, so you scrambled to follow it once more. There was no one in the hallway the dog led you to, and it was a dead end. Where was this dog leading you?
You were about to clear your throat and ask something (as if the dog could understand you) before a poof of pink smoke left Mephisto in the dog’s place. The tips of your ears flushed red as you finally realised you’d brought Mephisto on your lap and stroked him for the whole class.
“Follow me,” he smirked, and with a similar poof of smoke, there was a doorway in front of the two of you. You slowly entered after him, eyes trailing over the… unusual things Mephisto kept in his office. He sat at his desk, legs up as if he was relaxing at home. “Sit.”
You quickly complied. “S-Sir- I hadn’t meant to-” You played with the hem of your uniform as he cut you off. “Nonsense, I quite enjoyed the pampering.” He spoke, preoccupied with a green hamster on his desk. “As you know, I am Mephisto, the owner of True Cross Academy,” he held his arms up dramatically. “I know what you are. There’s no need to hide it here, darling.”
Mephisto was excited that there was someone other than human in his academy, someone fascinating and different. He knew he’d have fun with you. “I was thinking… with your abilities,” he looked you up and down, eyes lingering on the scales on your knuckles. “How about I personally train you? Killing demons isn’t an easy task, you know- but for someone like you, it could be.” He hummed.
You averted your eyes nervously. How would you tell the owner, the one who installed the exorcism class, that you hated it? You’d seen it once when you were younger: someone like Yukio, exorcising a demon. It hurt your own soul so much you vowed to never do that yourself. Of course your parents didn’t agree, sending you to True Cross Academy anyway.
“Uhm… how so?” You mumbled, eyes looking everywhere but his face. “I-I’d rather not, anyway, sir. I don’t… believe in harming them.” You saw a glint in his eye whilst you spoke, and you tried not to look too much into it.
“Well, that’s unusual, isn’t it? An exorcist who doesn’t believe in harming demons? I do say, I find you quite intriguing.” He smiled, yet it didn’t reach his eyes. He leaned his chin on his palm, face much closer to yours now. “How would you like to…” He seemed to look up, scouring his brain for something for you to do. “Sit in my office? You won’t have to go back to that nonsense class. You can help me, of course!” He beamed.
You furrowed your brows, biting your bottom lip. It was better than sitting in class, but what would you do? He answered before you even asked, leaning back with his hands behind his head. “You’d entertain Amaimon for me. And help me with the occasional paperwork and blah, blah, blah.” He rolled his eyes, yet gained a sudden burst of energy as he looked to you. “What do you say?”
“Alright, then..” you muttered, looking around his office once more. You were in for a bumpy ride.
