Neon J has been utterly absent since the fall of EDM, not a word has been uttered, and he hasn’t been spotted at any recent performances of 1010. They were repaired of course, but their caretaker.. he wasn’t nearly as resilient. Not as easily repaired.

Something that has been broken over and over, can only be repaired so many times before it’s rendered useless.

The line between his robotic nature and human nature was thin, a shocking mortality staring him right in the face. A mortality that he’d managed to defy so many time before, running far from the Reaper every time he showed up.

But was it worth it? His quality of life was far from being ideal, or even comfortable for that matter. He’d never stop fighting though, never give up, despite it all, because that’s just what he did. He didn’t give in to his mortality.

But he could only run from it for so long…

Jay quickly had to redirect his train of thought, as it started going into a rather dark and sad area. He can’t say that he’s surprised though, with how he’s felt.

          it’s  very  unlike  dj  subatomic  supernova  to  have  an  inkling  of  visible  care  for  the  other  members  of  nsr.   from  his  point  of  view,   he’s  rather  unattached,   holding  disdain  and  a  feeling  of  superiority  over  each  of  them.   the  subsequent  defeat  by  bunk  bed  junction  was  the  only  thing  which  had  humbled  him  in  some  way.   of  course,   it’s  this  humbling  that  leads  the  man  to  check  on  a  certain  coworker  that  hadn’t  shown  up  to  any  sort  of  meetings  as  of  recent.   albeit  a  hesitant  decision,   he  shows  at  barraca  mansion  nonetheless.   was  there  a  doorbell  to  ring  somewhere?   dj  had  shown  his  face  here  only  a  few  times  in  the  past.   would  this  be  an  overstepping  of  boundaries,   to  show  up  unannounced?   ...no  use  worrying  about  that  part  now.   he’s  already  arrived.

          suddenly  did  he  remember  his  phone,   how  he  could  actually  message  neon  j  right  now  and  ask  for  permission  to  enter...   to  which  he  realized  he  could  have  very  well  texted  him  if  he  was  alright.   there  was  actually  a  certain  order  to  things,   wasn’t  there?   it  may  be  better  to...   omit  the  part  about  him  standing  outside  the  gate.   neon  lights  make  it  annoyingly  difficult  to  see  the  keyboard  in  his  hands.   did  they  have  to  put  1010  at  such  a  high  level  of  brightness?

          he  knows  this  number  was  his  and  had  no  real  reason  to  ask.   dj  simply  was  not  the  best  at  conversational  openers.
