Something I've seen few mentions of is the fact that there is an official 4-panel comic about Raizou that provides some clearer insight into the topic of her gender. This one comes from the back of Volume 1 of Bokura no Hikari Club, which Molly generously provided the scans for. So, I decided to take a stab at translating it.

While it is obvious Raizou as a character is gender non-conforming in some way, this comic makes it a bit more clear that she is likely transgender.
