Jace wanted to pretend he didn't care about his task this week. He wanted to let it roll off his shoulders, because he had a feeling this was probably one of the easier punishments given out by the Simon Team. 

But the truth? He felt awful.

Alaska had just let him back in-- well, somewhat. She had just agreed to give him another chance, and even though his intentions were quite the opposite of pure, there was something in the pit of his stomach that got excited at the mere mention of her name. Her strawberry scented hair made him happier all of a sudden, even on the gloomiest of days. And her smile-- 

Jace stopped once his home screen lit up with the familiar blue banner. There before him was his facebook page, and out of all the ways he could do this, Jace knew this was the worst. Make a status about how awful Alaksa was in bed? He could do better. 

But truth be told, he wasn't better than this game. Not by a long shot. 

The boys phone vibrated in his back pocket, a text from his dad flashing upon to screen. He hadn't really let his father in since Cleo told him what they had done on the very couch he was seated on. Truth be told, he still felt a disgusted shiver roll down his spine when he sat down on it. So he let the message go unanswered, scrolling through his messages before he found the one he was looking for. 

Dear Jace,

You and Alaska are cute and all, but we think everyone needs to have a little back story behind those vomit-inducing twitter conversations. Maybe they should know how close you two are? Your task for the week is to find a way to publicly tell everyone about the fact that you fucked Alaska Grace. But don’t just tell them the boring facts like that. Be sure to illustrate how shitty she is in bed, how clingy she was afterwards, how shocking it is that Alaska always seems to have a guy to cheat on when she’s so undesirable. Lead her, and everyone else, to think that you deeply regret wasting your time on Alaska, and you’ll be in the clear.

Jace swallowed harshly, hesitantly letting his courser glide over the long box asking what was on his mind. Well, a lot was, but that didn't really matter right now. The light clicking noise allowed his courser to blink, and his fingers stayed mid air above the keys.

Was he really going to do this? Was his secret really worth it? It wasn't too bad, and to be honest he couldn't imagine others really caring, especially since the majority of the secrets were centered around illegal mischief. 

"Alaska Grace, yeah, I fucked her. And it sucked. Talk about stage five clinger, too. Its a wonder how she can find guys to cheat with. Mark my words: never have sex with Alaska. You'll regret it." 

Jace must have read over those words one hundred times, the awful pain in the pit of his stomach becoming increasingly worse with each time. 

But as the silence of the room surrounded him, it wasn't Alaksa he let consume his thoughts, it was his own reputation. Jace Listing was the handsome, gifted sex god of Oakview High. What would please think of him if they knew he practically begged Cleo to fuck him, and she turned him down? And not only that, but it caused his dad to break up with the only woman he loved and let it after his mom left? Now his secret become far worse than he'd expected.
