Most Popular Fic (by bookmarks):
Oh bother
Most Popular Fic (by kudos):
Out of the box (and into the barrel)
Shortest Completed Fic:
Hitting Gold
Longest Completed Fic:
It's not complete because there's a chapter left (agh!) but its my longest fic by far ever, all written exclusively in 2025, and I had to highlight it: Of Labrys and Hybris
Spiciest Fic:
Uhhh - not sure let me think. I've written a lot of PWP smubbles 🤣
I’m not sure if spiciest is dirtiest or more explicit or more gratuitous smut, which would be maybe Pinned down in place. But most erotic scene (because i love emotional sex) is in Paris l’été 1972. And the most poetic, oblique sex scene is in The Gold, and he, and I.
New things I tried:
Wrote for a few fandoms I had read and loved but never written for: Sherlock, Vikings, OFMD, Peaky Blinders.
Fic I spent the most time on:
Labrys and Hybris, and Say my name three times tonight, and in this last one, for a chapter that hasnt been published (and which has become longer than what is already published).
Fic I spent the least time on:
The shortest smubbles probably? Like Hitting Gold, or Master Rider.
Favourite thing I wrote:
Paris l’été 1972
French Thorin has me in chockehold still
Looking Back, Did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you’d expected?
It was my most productive year, I started strong in the first few months but then I wrote less and less because I got caught up with stressful work and personal issues. My goal for the next year is to devote more time to writing because it was makes me happy.
Story Of Mine Most Under-Appreciated By The Universe, In My Opinion:
Of those written in 2025, the medieval AU (based on a chivalric romance), The Travails of the Lord of Lorn, published early in the year and its only got 8 kudos
Most Unintentionally Telling Story:
I think there’s a lot of me in both Thorin and Bilbo in Labrys, though of all the characters I've written, I identify the most with Bilbo in Neighbours, maybe because there's a lot of stream of consciousness (and he is a theatre nerd in his late 30s) but that's mostly a 2024 story.
Biggest Disappointment:
The fact I couldn’t finish the three modern AU stories I had begun in 2024: Neighbours, Say my name 3 times tonight and Labrys.
Biggest Surprise:
Readers tend to like things I like the least/write quickest and without obsessing about details. For example Out of the box (and into the barrel) was written in a couple hours just for crack.
My Favourite Part Of Fandom This Year:
The online friends I have made, I love having people to yap with about my obsessions (or about IRL).
I also love getting several comments from the same user, it means a lot to know they’ve liked my stuff so much they’re exploring more works.
Writing goals for next year:
Finish wips! I actually made a bingo card the other day lets put it here for accountability:
Did you meet last year's goal?
Nope. Finding time (and energy) to write its still a struggle for me.
